So I’ve never had a MySpace page, but as of today the Uglies series does!

In other news: Thanks to everyone who came to Fairfield Public Library today to see me! It was a really enthusiastic group with many flash tattoos, and one girl who’d written lots of nice things about me on her skin with many colors of Sharpie.

I shan’t give any opinion on the Sharpie matter, except that Olive Green sharpies may actually be the best. markers. ever. as you say that they are. Though I always write on my skin with sharpie, and I’m still alive! At least, I am as I write this post…Who knows about after that? I mean, staph…

Book signings = 45 minutes of standing in a line doing nothing with lots of anticipation and boredom (not that I’ve actually ever been to one with an author i’d actually heard of before the signing)
Sharpies = 30 minutes of fun.
Uglies = countless hours of sitting around reading in the last weekend before school ends, forgetting about all the exams I have (I read them in May).
Midnighters = countless hours sitting around reading with tons of anticipation and nervous-making moments. Not to mention all the frustrating interruptions. (I just finished BLUE NOON at school today – the ending made me cry
I felt like such a dork)
So Yesterday = A great few hours where being sick is forgotten as i am pulled into the story.
Myspace = lots of lag, ads, and predators looking for victims. Which is why, never in a million years, will i create a Myspace.
sorry for this brain-missingly long post. I’ll try to trim it down at little next time. But it’s better than posting 3 in row like I usually do, right?

oh my gosh. i have been trying to figure out a costume for halloween this year and i haven’t found anything that i don’t have to spend a lot of money on. but i just had a fawsome idea!!! i’m breaking out the sharpies and i’m going to be SPECIAL! i’m excited now. i might have to be a special with fangs though because i just bought some amazing fangs that look real. well this made my night! thanks for the great idea! if anyone has any tips to make is look awesome, i’m up for suggestions!

You could always make your own specials shirt.
Buy a cheap t-shirt and use a ShARpIe ???
Or thoes printable t-shirt iron-on transfer sheet things. Thoes look pretty good.
I make one that looked like the one you could buy because I found a VERY similar vont. Can’t tell the difference.

and i’m doing the melissa costume—u r so 11:59 shirt with optional homemade bixby high school sweatshirt, red long sleeved thermal, black gloves, jeans, sneakers, a black backpack, sunglasses and big headphones. pretty easy.
what t-shirt did u make with the similar font?
iron-ons are okay, but after a couple washes they start to crinkle and stuff. which is why i prefer making sweatshirts and other stuff u don’t wash as much.
sharpies 4ever! they don’t wash out.
i’m working on an epic tithe shirt….with waaay too much effort being spent on the graphic.

ok i’m going to make a shirt with Special Circumstances on the front and on the back in smaller writing it will say, i don’t want to hurt you but i will if i have to. like the shirts sold here..if i had enough time i would order one and just wear that but i only have 3 days! it’s going to be a black shirt with the iron on transfer. then i will wear all black. the thing i’m having a hard time with is the flash tattoos. i want them to look like the “real” thing, but i’m not a great artist. maybe i’ll use eyeliner to mark it out then use that black face paint gunk and fill it in. well thanks everyone for your suggestions!!

amanda: i live in a tourist town, so my parents own a couple of clothes/souvenir stores, so i got my black s/s shirt free of charge from there, of course.
i made a stencil that reads “Special Circumstances” using microsoft word & then printed it on photo paper, cut out the letters, and right now i’m getting ready to use silver fabric spray-paint stuff.
the crash bracelets came from coating two old glow bracelets that have long since burned out and wrapping them in tinfoil, i’ll do something else too but i haven’t thought of it yet.
i’m gonna do almost thesame thing you are for the facial flash tattoos: black eyepencil to outline, then black liquid eyeliner over it.
HALLOWEEN IS GONNA ROCK!!!
