Here at last are the dates for my upcoming tour for Goliath, which comes out September 20.
As always: I’m very sorry if I’m not coming to your city/town/iceberg, but rest assured that this is NOT because I don’t love you all; it’s because you outnumber me.
Here we go.
TO PREVENT CONFUSION, TOUR INFORMATION HAS BEEN MOVED FROM HERE TO MY APPEARANCES PAGE. Go there to check on dates, times, and places.
Can’t wait to see you guys.

August 21st, 2011 01:13
No Illinois this time around?
August 21st, 2011 01:16
I’m so sad Pittsburgh didn’t make it on the tour this time around. You will be missed!!
August 21st, 2011 01:16
No Florida?
August 21st, 2011 01:19
Yes, it’s sad that I get no Chicago, but this is the first time I’ve missed you guys. Also sad about missing FL and PA, but at least I got to those states for the first two books.
August 21st, 2011 01:26
I know you say you have no choice in where you go, but for the love of Darwin, is there any place I can leave a suggestion or ask nicely for Las Vegas to be added to your tour? I just don’t understand how such a major city has never been on your tours
August 21st, 2011 01:30
I’d like Las Vegas too. No one ever comes to Vegas. Do we have a reputation that is that bad?
That’s 2 votes for Vegas!
August 21st, 2011 01:31
Bergatron-
Hmm. Interesting question. Is there a big indie bookstore there? One that does events?
August 21st, 2011 01:35
You know, I’m honestly not sure. I shop at Border’s (not for much longer, apparently D:) but if not there or a Barnes&Noble, the library district? I don’t know how tour organization goes, but I know the library district hosts lots of events out here , especially when involving children and young readers.
August 21st, 2011 01:48
I was at your changing hands event 2 years ago I am so excited to get the complete series signed! Your B&N event is so close to my house but no one throws a party like Changing Hands! Maybe I will go to both.
August 21st, 2011 01:51
No love for Colorado? :’(
August 21st, 2011 02:00

August 21st, 2011 02:10

August 21st, 2011 02:19
FrannyD-
Sorry! They are right and I am wrong. Laurel Village it would seem to be. (NEVER HURTS TO CALL AND CONFIRM.)
August 21st, 2011 02:23

August 21st, 2011 02:26

August 21st, 2011 02:37

August 21st, 2011 02:38
@word master

August 21st, 2011 02:39
Too bad you’re not coming to Virginia! That’s where all the cool cats are, you know.
But I hope you have an awesome tour anyways; that’s a lot of places!
August 21st, 2011 02:43
AHHHH! You’re coming to St paul! I live very close to the Red Balloon bookstore so I’ll probably go to that one.
The MOA is pretty big, but pretty “normal” to me. You should try some of the rides there!!
I’m so happy you’re stopping in MN this time! <3
August 21st, 2011 02:45
wish i lived in seattle area!
August 21st, 2011 02:45
@brita

August 21st, 2011 02:46
quackquack
August 21st, 2011 02:47
No Pittsburgh! I’ll have to drive NYC. It’s only 7 hours driving according to mapquest (:
But it’s cool that you get to go to some of the places that don’t get to see you as much.
August 21st, 2011 02:47
Ah! You finally come close to me in Cali, and it’s my first day back at school where I have classed until 8. Bummer.
August 21st, 2011 02:47
oh I hope my preorder of Goliath comes in time >.> It will be cutting it close with the dates, knowing how unreliable shipping is these days!
August 21st, 2011 02:52
No Ohio?!?!
August 21st, 2011 02:53
Only a month until Goliath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:):):):)
August 21st, 2011 03:07
Lalala, oh, Mr. Scottla has put up a schedule for his tour! *sigh* Minnesota- why you so remote? WOAH! STOP- HOLD THE PHONE!
THREE stops in the Twin Cities? I COULD GO TO ALL THREE OF THOSE!
MR SCOTT WESTERFELD SIR- YOU JUST MADE ONE OF THE CRAPPIEST DAYS OF MY SUMMER THE BEST! I’ll see you at one of those signings and I will bring you fresh fanart!
August 21st, 2011 03:26
No authors ever come to Maine :’(
August 21st, 2011 03:37
Ahhh.. I don’t get to bake for you and your lovely wife again? But I’ve got more delicious recipes for you!!!! Truly!!! Maybe you could sneak back to Alabama for a flying visit?
August 21st, 2011 03:49
I thought your St. Louis, MO event was going to be at the St. Louis County Library Headquarters location at 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd? The only reason I would know is I happened to be at the library and see a flier for your event right before I saw this post.
August 21st, 2011 03:52
SCOTTTTTT this has made me sooooo happy! Ur coming back to mrs. Nelsons and its on the day I have off work!! *happy dance*
August 21st, 2011 03:52
My uncle is a truck driver…I’ve got to convince him to take me to one of the tours because PA didn’t make the list.
August 21st, 2011 03:53
I’m so sad I won’t be able to see you in Vancouver, because I’m only here for the summer.
August 21st, 2011 04:17
California fans are really grateful, their so glad that you could go there those who are going to see you put your hands up…
:):)
August 21st, 2011 04:19
Wow, so many stops in Minnesota and none in Wisconsin. That’s too bad. But I get why, you are going to be traveling to like, every part of the US, and it isn’t like you can hit every state. Have fun Scott!
August 21st, 2011 04:48
@scotty-la
ya, have fun, but not to much because u won’t see me, also, will u be doing a sequal series for leviathan? that would be sooooooo cool
August 21st, 2011 04:57
Bleh the closest one to me is about 3 hours away at the same time I have a tennis practice…sigh.
August 21st, 2011 04:58
By the way, you have a HUGE tour. So many stops!
August 21st, 2011 05:02
YESSSS. You’ll be over by me! Time to start working on a tee-shirt~
August 21st, 2011 05:15
@moonie
where can iget one of those???
August 21st, 2011 05:48
Scott-la, you need to come to New York’s capital (Albany) for me to meet you and get you to sign my books! ^_^ No way my parents will drive me to NYC…PLEASE come up north!! (:
August 21st, 2011 05:49
Sadness…. so close and yet so far! In Texas but nowhere near me. Why can’t you come to Dallas? ah maybe next time. I suppose it’s impossible to see allllll of your fans since there are just so many wonderful people.
August 21st, 2011 06:15
EVERYWHERE BUT OHIO AGAIN, EH? I think your purposefully avoiding me. T_T
August 21st, 2011 06:30
NYC is only 2 hours away……hopefully I can come. *crosses fingers*
August 21st, 2011 06:32
Ohio or Savannah Georgia, please. Please. PLEASE!!! ;-;
(Georgia has nice vacation spots, you know. You could always just take a break and vacation in GA, then stop by SCAD and be awesome and stuff so I can meet you…
)
August 21st, 2011 07:10
Jessica-
Hey, thanks for spotting that. I may have the wrong address.
August 21st, 2011 07:30
Yaaaay! Your coming to Austin and Round Rock! Maybe this year, I will actually buy the book and have you sign it. Time to start searching for a bowler hat…..
August 21st, 2011 07:43
I hate to add to the list of fan complaints, but there are so many Westerfans in the ever-so-neglected Indiana!
But Goliath was such an awesome series end, I may have to slide over to the NY event come October…
August 21st, 2011 08:08
Make sure you tell us when you’re coming to Australia please :3 :3
August 21st, 2011 08:13
Don’t take this as a complaint but why do you hate Ohio? The Wright brothers are from Ohio which makes us steampunk-ish. And yet… *sigh of sadness*
August 21st, 2011 08:54
Yeah, yeah Vancouver!
Will you be doing something with Steampunk again?
August 21st, 2011 09:40
YES! You’re coming to vancouver again!!!!
PLEASE let it be sky train accessible this time :p
I mean-it was rather hard to get there when it was in point grey. That’s really far away and I can only drive one person with me.And there are three of us. Problem! :p
Please be at metrotown!
August 21st, 2011 10:18
One more month! One more month! (till the release date)
August 21st, 2011 17:05
No Georgia I see
that’s not happy making
August 21st, 2011 18:16
Twin cities! yay! Wild Rumpus is probably one of the coolest bookstores ever
August 21st, 2011 18:21
Well,might as well pre-order Goliath now…
August 21st, 2011 18:54
oohhhhhh, you’re so close I can practically smell the hydrogen in the air already!!!!!!!! I WILL GET TO THE OTHER SIDE OF PHOENIX OR MY NAME ISN’T TAMARA-LA!!!! (Which it isn’t, but my overwhelming sorrow would make the adorning “-la” in my name wither, fall off, and die if I don’t get to attend!) I knew I should have gotten my license during the summer!… *grumble, grumble* procrastinator *grumble*… But no need to fret Scott-la, I will ride a Huxley in the middle of a sandstorm if I have to!!!
August 21st, 2011 19:15
AW-ERS! No Birmingham, Alabama, again this year? I am throughly saddened, Scott-la. Still, it was an honor to meet my favorite author! Have fun on tour! And nevertheless, I will be buying my goliath copy first thing!
DD
August 21st, 2011 20:02
Why don’t you like New England Scott-la? :’( If it’s at all possible you should try and make a pit-stop in Boston or even Portsmouth, NH? *hintidy-hint* We have a real nice Barnes & Noble.
But enjoy your tour Scott-la, I’ll just wallow in my in my Scottlessness… And yes, that’s a word now.
August 21st, 2011 20:58
are you suuuuure you won’t head up to MA? Boston has me, HPF, TTB and a load of other fans…
August 21st, 2011 22:43
Holy. Crap. Shoot me in the freaking. Face.
You’re comming here? To Missouri? Probably the most boring state in the country? To a boring city where the only place to hang out closes at 9 pm? Where one of the only sources of entertainment is to pants mannequins in Hollister and constantly refill our freebie cup at Teavana?
That is so freaking mint.
I feel like it’s Christmas and Halloween all at the same time. :3
August 21st, 2011 23:10
@Venus C.
I agree! Why not Toronto? You have fans in Ontario too!
August 21st, 2011 23:12
Boston, MA wants you here, Scott! D:
August 21st, 2011 23:40

August 22nd, 2011 00:25
SO HAPPY!!!
i’ll see you in SF!
:):)
August 22nd, 2011 00:32
So the closest you’ll be to KY is Kansas City. Which is funny because a few years ago my best friend and I made a trip there and went to Rainy Day Books to see an author we really liked. Unfortunately, that won’t be happening this time around (I have a real job that I am not allowed out of). So, I’m really sad :’-(
August 22nd, 2011 00:48
OMGOMGOMGOGMOGMOGMOGMOGMGOMGOMGOGMOGMOMOMGOMGOMGOGMOGMOGMOGMGOMGOMGOGMOGMOGMOGMOAJRHFJDKSHFUREIOSARBJEAILBFJIAHFJDISLFBNDKASLFHJDKSALHFJD You’re coming to Arizona! I’m so happy! Thank you thank you thank you! Tempe and Mesa are kind of far away from Scottsdale (heh) but whatever….thank you for coming and visiting probably one of the hottest and least exciting states (at least in the southern area of Arizona….we don’t have all the tourism of Sedona and the Grand Canyon) in the west!!!!
August 22nd, 2011 01:27
Awww. Ontario is cool too.
Oh well. Have fun! (can’t wait to read Goliath!)
August 22nd, 2011 02:48
Will you ever be coming to the tri-cities?
August 22nd, 2011 03:05
Aw, nothing even remotely close to me.
I’m so mad I didn’t get to go to the one in Miami last time. No way I’m going to be allowed to fly up the NYC from Naples. Curses!
Well have fun at least, can’t wait for Goliath!
August 22nd, 2011 03:15
*sigh* not coming anywhere near me. :’(
August 22nd, 2011 03:39
at first I thought that I’d have to settle for seattle… but no! the great scott westerfeld is coming to MY hometown(portland,OR)! TWICE!!! also.. is it possible to get all three books signed?
August 22nd, 2011 05:41
Yes!!!!!
Of course we live in the same city!
(I’m so lucky :3 all this takes is a short subway ride!)
YAY! I CANT WAIT!
August 22nd, 2011 06:16
Oh. My. Gosh. Scottla is coming to St. Louis. Webster Grvoves to be exact, but hey, who is complaining? I will be there Scott Westerffeld, of die trying…
August 22nd, 2011 07:06
Have you ever considered coming to Alaska? We never get any authors up here, and I’m sure you would have a great time!
August 22nd, 2011 07:26
What about good old Connecticut? ah well i’ll just go to NYC WOOT!!! I GET TO MEET AN AUTHOR I LOVE WOOOT!!!!!! have fun with your tour!!
August 22nd, 2011 09:09
If we want our copy of Goliath signed, do we have to mail-order it for all of the events? (*cough cough specifically St. Paul cough cough*) Or just for the Books of Wonder event? How does this mysterious, enchanted process work??
[book signing n00b here, don’t mind me)
August 22nd, 2011 19:06
Announcement for Scott: The forum isn’t working….. you can’t reply to anything…. ???
August 22nd, 2011 20:37
Sweet! I hope I can make it to the one in Austin. If not, then maybe Round Rock. Or both. =D
August 22nd, 2011 21:58
OMG! You’re coming to Arizona! I have told my BFF and you will see us fangirling at Changing Hands. I’m actually going to be ditching my night class to come see you. I am so excited! XD
August 22nd, 2011 23:58
@Bea: You can click the quote button to reply to others. Just erase the quote if you want.
August 23rd, 2011 01:54
Please, please, please, please, PLEASE look into coming to the DC area (that is, if you want!) during the tour! It’s my absolute DREAM to meet you and I don’t think I’ll be able to talk my mom into taking me to New York! Lol
August 23rd, 2011 06:25
Question for you Scott! If I bring books from home, how many are we allowed to have you sign? Or can I only buy a book from the bookstore in order for you to sign it?
I’ll *hopefully* be able to come to Minneapolis. SUPER EXCITED that one of my favorite authors is coming around where I live! I may live four hours away, but I just don’t care!
August 23rd, 2011 06:35
I am in Dallas.
You are coming to Austin, and Round Rock.
I DON’T CARE.
I SHALL DRIVE MY PARENTS INSANE, AND MAKE THEM FLY ME THERE. (We gets to fly standby!)
They did it for Brian Jacques. THEY SHALL DO IT FOR YOU!!!!
I would drive, since I’m old enough and all, buuuut…I not have license. Nor will for a long time, at that matter. (There. Is. No. Time. To. Learn!)
Plus, I have no sense of direction.
This is dire. Absolutely dire.
Also, you’re from Texas? That rocks!!
I shall see you there! Hopefully. Maybe. I dunno. BUT I WILL TRY.
(…Wow…a little caps lock heavy in this post…eh.)
August 23rd, 2011 07:12
VonEbs-
It’s not Webster Groves! The address has been changed. (See above.)
Cassidy F-
You don’t have to mail order anything if you’re coming to an event. Just bring your books. (It’s nice to buy them at the store, but you don’t have to. The mail order thing is for people who want one held for them, or who can’t come and want one SHIPPED to them.)
All-
Sorry the Forum is being weird again. I haz people on it.
August 23rd, 2011 07:14
Ohmigosh! I saw Oregon and SQUEALED!!!!
Maybe mam will be sellin a pup on one of those days and I can go with her to the city…
…..nope. Sunday. DANG YOU WESTERFELD!!! D:
August 23rd, 2011 07:48
Why do these things always pass over New Mexico? Always. *sob*
August 23rd, 2011 08:29
YES!!! VANCOUVER FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 23rd, 2011 08:39
YAY! You’re coming to NY! I just realized how lucky I am to live just outside the city though… lots of authors stop there on tours! Now I just need a ride…
August 23rd, 2011 09:12
I am dying, Scott. I am DYING. XD seriously the best birthday ever, just coming to this website and seeing this =3= because I’m going to New York in October soooo *cough* If I can convince my parents to go a day early my life will be complete~
August 23rd, 2011 10:31
when does Goliath come out in Australia?? because Behemoth took forever to come down under.
August 23rd, 2011 10:39
What about your Aussie fans? Are we not good enough for you?
August 23rd, 2011 17:36
YES!!!!
August 23rd, 2011 18:32
100th comment!
Chocolate for all!!…and some for me of course.
August 23rd, 2011 18:33
@Jessica: Strange….Missouri sounds a lot like Virginia…except we cart joust at Wegmans and Target for kicks.
August 23rd, 2011 19:49
UGH. You might be coming to my state (New York), but I happen to live on the OTHER SIDE OF IT in Buffalo. Even if i had a ride to NYC (which I do not) it is an 8 hour drive
August 24th, 2011 01:07
No Chicago?!?!?!?!
August 24th, 2011 03:16
Scott-la,everyone, are you all ok??????? The earthquake was really bad over here in Va (I blame the Clankers. They always were up to no good.)
August 24th, 2011 05:05
Scott-la…would you be freaked if I asked you to sign 12 of your books (several which may be in tatters from over-reading, if there is such a thing)?
August 24th, 2011 05:22
omg, heard bout earthquake in north eastern area, i hates earthquakes! but i live in the middle of ilinois, so we never have em’
@wordmaster
i jelous, i try to do cool stuff, but i got “detention” from my dad when he founded out. hes a teacher, and sayz weird crap like that, like hes at school!
it was funny tho
August 24th, 2011 05:41
@sharpie: well, I tend to stay out of trouble. Other people I know however….
Just hope everyone in the northeast is okay.
August 24th, 2011 21:48
I felt the earthquake as a gentle swaying, and assumed it was a big truck on the street or something. Justine, sitting next to me, didn’t notice it.
In short, there was panic and rivers of blood.
August 24th, 2011 23:17
No Atlanta? :’( I was so thrilled when you came last time.
August 25th, 2011 10:16
Finally, I can now go back to schoolwork in peace!!!! (The teacher will either be thrilled, or annoyed that THIS was what was so important….) Now a very important question:
DO YOU LIKE YOUR PRESENTS WRAPPED OR NOT??????
August 26th, 2011 05:02
No DC? Come on you have to make an appearance at the capital!!!
August 26th, 2011 06:02
@alexis: only problem would be trying to get INTO d.c. I live close by, but traffic is AWFUL during the week.
@scott-la: funny, I thought it was a truck too. Until my chair started vibrating….20 second massage from NATURE!
Va starting quakes…like a boss!
August 26th, 2011 07:16
It really saddens me that Australia isn’t even anywhere near that list! Is there anyway that I can convince you to come over here to do a tour!?
August 26th, 2011 07:18
You’re not coming to Ann Arbor again? It was great when you came to the library.
August 26th, 2011 09:05
Wait, Are you not coming to New York Comic-Con this year?? D=
Say it aint so!
August 26th, 2011 19:07
As I mentioned, I live in Buffalo, in a small and ancient house. My house is SO small and ancient that if something goes wrong with the dryer, the whole bottom floor vibrates. That’s what I thought the earthquake was.
August 26th, 2011 19:09
YAY! I have already puppy-eyes-ed my dad into driving me to the city!!!!! YAHOOTIE!!!!!!!!! *starts searching for bowler hat*
March 21st, 2012 07:27
Good info and right to the point. I don’t know if this is really the best place to ask but do you people have any ideea where to get some professional writers? Thx
