Title: Hey Everyone!
Post by: Sir Loin on March 18, 2014, 06:03:48 PM
Just thought I'd make myself known, so decided to make a new topic so I can have lots of attention and feel good about myself.
Not really, but still, hello all!

FUN FACT

I used to have bronchitis.

Hello! May I ask which of Scott's books you've read?

Erm, the Leviathan series are the only ones so far, but who knows what my future holds, I'm always open to suggestions!

And yeah, bronchitis really is decidedly average.

Uglies for sure.
Midnighters is a good one to follow that up with...then POSSIBLY Peeps and the New York trilogy, but those aren't really required reading.
If you've read Leviathan your covered.

Sweet, thanks for the suggestions, I'll just add them to the ever growing list of books I have to read  :'(

First world problems man.

I know, I know. The pains of the not-quite 1% right?
I  have a few others but I'll leave you to what I suggested instead...

Yeah, I have more than enough to read at the moment.

Obviously your suggestions <3  :P

Well, I'm going through Divergent at the moment, heard good things about it so I'm giving it a go.

Not to start a fight, but I would definitely recommend Peeps and Last Days before Uglies. Uglies is good, but I liked those much better. What's not to like about disgusting parasites and the end of the world?

I would recommend all of them! Including Succession. Can't forget Succession.

Have any of you ever read Evolution's darling? Is it good?

I haven't, so I can't help you. I do know that it's an adult book that is, to quote rai, "Not something for the kiddies.", but beyond that, I don't know.

I can't find a copy. Plus there's warnings of graphic sex scenes, which I do not want to read (yet).

I know that it's one of his adult books I wanted to try to read it  though.  also is succession classified well, marketed as an adult series?

Sirius I was just curious because my library has it in the adult section but they also have a lot of YA things in there too for some reason.

Succession IS an adult book/series, but I didn't consider it graphic. Definitely centered around adult characters, though.
