Thought fans of Peeps might like to know about this new study about toxoplasma that reinforces and adds to what was revealed in Peeps:

I find the fact of possible phobia reversal interesting.....imagine the ablity to counteract the unnessary fear we feel with attraction....

but in the lines of military...I do find that highly frightening...so much damage they could do with something like that..

it kind of reminds me of the happening in a distant way....people commiting sucside because of toxins. It's the same idea.. taking something that people fear and making them want it....fear of death to want of death. I'm taking a bit of a Sci Fi turn with this but in reality the possilbities for this descovery are amazing and frightening.

I have three cats, and I don't even like roller coasters. Perhaps I'm immune?
I don't want cysts in my brain!  :'(

Especially given Scott's mention of Crohn's, thought you guys might find this interesting
http://www.sciencecodex.com/you_are_not_what_you_eat

"The types of gut bacteria that populate the guts of primates depend on the species of the host as well as where the host lives and what they eat. A study led by Howard Ochman at Yale University examines the gut microbial communities in great apes, showing that a host's species, rather than their diet, has the greatest effect on gut bacteria diversity. These findings will publish next week in the online, open access journal PLoS Biology."
