One of my friends started reading it a while ago but she hasn't said anything about it in a while so I'm not sure if she's still reading it. Hopefully she is.

I'd love to see how Alek and Dyren's lives play out. Introducing him to her family, working with Dr. Barlow, their kids.......

That's true :) But the "ooooOOOO" part led me to believe that was not what he meant :P

That's why her last name is Barlow and not Darwin. She married a guy called Alan Barlow (according to Wikipedia).

Her husband could be dead, so Varlow could happen.

He didn't die until 1968.
Title: Re: Fed up with silence
Post by: Catvomitsky on May 17, 2015, 12:22:56 PM
Well, it could happen after '68 or in an alternate version of events.

The Duke of Hohenberg had three children

I should also point out that during one meet up 1 user asked if anything would happen romantically between Volger and Barlow and Westerfeld said that Volger was, in his words a " Confirmed bachelor" if you look up that term it's Victorian slang for homosexual.
Title: Re: Fed up with silence
Post by: Panzercrappitastica on May 18, 2015, 12:25:16 AM
Really? Huh. Well. Even less likely, then.
Title: Re: Fed up with silence
Post by: Chairlegs on May 18, 2015, 07:48:37 AM
Fun fact, Volger in Dutch means 'Follower'
And Really? Volger Gay?
I don't want in the books
Varlow can happen

Conspiracy time!
Volger just wants to be a bachelor.

Why do I feel that the Count would not be a homosexual?........To use the phrase from the books, he'd think it "barking unnatural."
Title: Re: Fed up with silence
Post by: Chairlegs on May 18, 2015, 09:35:21 AM
Yes Toooooooo Barking Unnatural

Imagine if Volger was a master walker pilot
He didn't spend all his time waving a sword around

Or we can just make everyone happy and say ol' Volgermeister was bisexual.  XD

Thank you Catvomitsky.  XD

And yea...on occasion I just continuously listen to the three books for long periods of time...Alan Cumming is so good at reading them and becoming, like, thirty different people it boggles the mind.  XD

My friend's doing her book report on Behemoth and how it shares themes with Romeo and Juliet. This should be interesting XD

Volger is swordsexual and wants you to respect his life choices.
Title: Re: Fed up with silence
Post by: Catvomitsky on June 10, 2015, 02:28:46 PM
Swordsexuality isn't a choice, Besly. Smh. is it bad that I immediately interpreted that as a euphemism?
Title: Re: Fed up with silence

Smh? I don't get it and i feel stupid because of that

I HAVE AN OBJECTIVE
everybody shh

I am building a WALKER!
Yes, a walker!
No the real size but enough to fit a human
so a one man walker
like a mech suit but a walker
This is an exaggeration of what I am building
http://i999.photobucket.com/albums/af111/ethand/Old_crusty_mech_by_Galiford.jpg?t=1321553986
btw I did NOT draw this
got it from the internet, it was the best fit to what I am building
Without the guns and the woman

Ooh, wow! How are you going to do it?
Title: Re: Fed up with silence
Post by: Chairlegs on June 10, 2015, 04:00:28 PM
Probably sounds better than it looks
but old parts from mowers and steel
Hydraulics and computer systems
I program it so that it doesn't run off or anything with me inside

btw fingers on my mech's hand move

Oh, bipedal. Interesting choice. And really friggin difficult. But hey, if you think you can get it working then good luck.

btw don't expect anything any time soon
I am still designing it and have made only part of a hand

But Speaking of designs
I would love people to put in a hand and help design the exterior
Feed back would be amazing
here is a basic drawing of a male human (just click the long line below)

Isn't there like a walker battle coming up between America and Japan?
Title: Re: Fed up with silence
Post by: Chairlegs on July 22, 2015, 02:31:23 PM
A walker Battle
that is probably one of the most stupidest battles that they can have
why War?
We have progressed so far from ww1 and ww2
yet we are still fighting.

Unless you mean a friendly robot type thingy battle
not actually war
Title: Re: Fed up with silence
Post by: Catvomitsky on July 23, 2015, 01:55:02 PM
No, he didn't mean actual war :P
Title: Re: Fed up with silence
Post by: Straif on July 23, 2015, 02:34:17 PM
A "duel" would probably be more accurate...two teams are building mechs to fight each other
Title: Re: Fed up with silence
Post by: Chairlegs on July 23, 2015, 02:56:26 PM
I feel a little silly now
I would like to see that...
Robots smashing robots
Millions of dollars gone to waste in an hour of fist 'a' cuffs
...
