Title: Deryn's secret being uncovered
Post by: Leviafan on September 16, 2015, 02:10:22 AM
I personally think that, though the way Alek found out about Deryn's secret was nice, I expected much more, and I felt like the importance was overshadowed by other events in the books. Read: http://comickergirl.deviantart.com/art/Wait-204433610 If you agree with me. Please post the way you think Alek should have found out or whether you agree with Scott Westerfield's approach. (You can also write random Leviathan stuff, I really don't care)

WELCOME NEWBIE!

For my two cents; I love the scene where he finds out, it's really well written, but I still got the slightest sense of disappointment, I think that seeing as the whole series had been building up to this moment it was a little under-awing. But still, one of my favorite scenes.

I do love the scene, but was disappointed in how eh took it. I mean, it's realistic and it's probably how I would respond, but I wish that he would understand better instead of trying to hurt her. I DO understand why Scott Westerfield wrote it that way. I also don't like how that chapter ends--the fact that he realized so easily that she was in love with him--it was a bit cocky, which makes sense for a prince character, but it still bothered me.
And also, thanks for the welcoming!

The whole of Goliath kind of felt rushed and a bit strained.
