Reviving this thread, yay!

I liked Extras the most honestly. Not necessarily why, but it just clicked with me more than the original three. But out of the first three, I definitely preferred Pretties. Again, I can't really put my reasoning into words...

What was it that you didn't like about Extras?
Title: Re: Favorite book
Post by: Ghost44 on January 24, 2013, 10:02:16 AM
Haha, I think you need to think of it as a completely different book in the same world, rather than being part of the same series as the other 3.

Understandable. It isn't quite as complex in my opinion, it just goes in a line... To real twists or turns.

Fanna dude... I own all the books plus all the add ons and I keep tabs on everything uglies on Tumblr and FB. Plus I think I've worn out the spins in my book because of how many times I've opened my book.... they're my favorite book. And if I have to I'll get Mara and seth in here.

Oh no my heart belongd to Uglies. I like Midnighters but not.love them. I hate Levi (sorry I live steampunk but the books... no to.boring.) I've read hos other books but I'm 99% Uglies.

And true they never really post on here.

And I do try and post on here when a topic pops up. Not always just cause its not my style of conversation.

Oh god no...haven't even thought too much about it yet. Maybe spring break? I've started getting papers and stuff...and those really must take priority.

Trust me, I wish I could be writing.  But...I've kind of been having trouble.  Involving totally rethinking the ending.

Hurry up :P

Sorry, I think you have a long wait  :'(

I'm feeling that...I'll definitely finish it by the end of this year, for sure.

Year as in year year or as in school year?

All I know is that it is more than I could have done.

Yeah, although once I did start writing a story... Only wrote for 3 days, about 6-7 hours total, and my word count was at 7,000... So I was pretty happy about that. I am pretty sure I have that saved somewhere too...

I'm sort of indifferent, about writing... I have never been too good at it. Like, I start, and everything is going well, but I never get the full plot figured out before I start, so it ends up getting all mixed up and confusing... And yeah...

Starts and ends are easy for me, but the middle is just a mess.

Haha, yeah, good joke :P Although I am a total numbers guy. I was originally going to do engineering before I changed my mind, so yeah, numbers are my forte.

I decided against it because I didn't want to work with numbers the rest of my life :P

I think mine would have to be ummm.... Specials, Pretties, Uglies and then Extras.. :) I didn't really like Extras a lot till it got the end though :(
Title: Re: Favorite book

I love all the books alot. Although I am still mad at Aya and always will be you can't beat the Sly Girls. Which is why extras is my favorite. But i do love the whole series. 8)

I dont know, wether Uglies, Specials or Extras  :P ;D But not Pretties, its to boring at the beginning.

In Uglies you get to know the new world, and the technology, but the end is a bit...strange.

Specials is full of Aktion and really, really thrilling, but Tallys character has for my taste to much change.

And the new world and the new system in Extras is exiting, but the laguage is strange.
