I completely forgot about this topic!  Filming has started and there are some awesome set pics.  Also, I've come to like Shailene I think I was quick to judge her.

um you're wrong actually. where did you get that information?

it has 81% on rotten tomatoes (91% for audience I believe), it's well on its way to beating out a Tom cruise action movie for weekend box office, and oh yeah...it was amazing!

Maybe its doing worse elsewhere, but everyone I've talked to who's gone to see it have not liked it.
(Then again most of them saw Edge of Tommorow and their main comment about TFIOS was "they should have given her a mech suit"...so its probably pretty jaded.)

Just because a movie isn't full of "HURR DURRRP LET'S BLOW EVERYTHING UP WITH TECHNOLOGY BECAUSE WE'RE TOO DUMB TO COME UP WITH A PLOT THAT DOESN'T REVOLVE AROUND ACTION", doesn't mean it's not good like seriously ::)

I haven't read the books (though I know what happens, I figured it out before the spoilers hit tumblr :p) but I do want to see it. Probably not in theatres, though, unless a friend takes me

I saw the movie and I loved it, and I am hard to please when it is something I care about. from the trailers I was a little worried about awkwardness but it was so natural and I have no complaints.
