Peeps vs. Twilight
« on: December 24, 2012, 03:58:36 PM »

Here's a place to compare and contrast the series of Scott's Peeps and Stephanie Meyer's Twilight.

I personally prefer Peeps by a lot. I couldn't get halfway through Twilight #1 without falling asleep. In case you're curious, I meant that literally.

Without a doubt. ANYTHING is better than Twilight.
At least we get a scientific explanation for the cause.

My first read through of Twilight, I enjoyed it. It wasn't the best, but it was a fun read nonetheless! I tried to get through it another time and the characters just didn't have a pull on me after the first read through. Though it has been a while since reading Peeps, I remember thoroughly enjoying every page and character within! Due to this, I must say Peeps is number 1 out of this couple!

I enjoyed Peeps so much better than Twilight.

I admit, though, that I enjoy the movies. I actually saw the first movie before I read the books, and even then, I didn't want to see it until I saw a preview of the fight scene.

I haven't actually read Twilight. I will at some point, though. From what I know already, though, the vampires make much more sense in Peeps. (vampires. do. not. sparkle.)

Peeps all the way! Gosh, at least this book has a GOOD reason for the hatred of sunlight... Can anybody please explain to me why it is BAD to sparkle?

I haven't read the books yet, but isn't it just cuz they're embarrassed and/or worried someone will think they're a vampire? I don't know. Anathema is a much better explanation though. Peeps is the only vampire book I've read that wouldn't be fantasy, it's definitely sci-fi. Which is awesome. I need to read Twilight so I can make more specific arguments to the superiority of Peeps...

Peeps has a better story-line and world than Twilight. Twilight was a decent read to me. It had a nice, beautiful, romantic story however, I didn't find it as captivating as Peeps. I. LOVE. PEEPS.(still talking about the book, not the food) For me, Peeps is one of those stories you'd be want to reread a lot unlike Twilight. Twilight was a one time read for me. Peeps has better vampires than Twilight. Peeps seem more realistic (due to the scientific explanations in the book) and awesome than Twilight vampires. Peeps(sane) are so awesome that it makes me wish to be a Peep in real life despite the disadvantages to it. Hehe..

Twilight takes place in my home state and sucks more than a black hole.

Peeps sucks a lot less and doesn't take place anywhere near Washington.

Peeps FTW.
