Hello!
« on: August 21, 2013, 04:02:51 AM »

Hi everyone, I recently joined the forums but forgot to introduce myself.

So, basically I like reading and writing (originals and/or fanfic, etc.) and what introduced me to Scott was the Leviathan series. I first read Airborn, actually (it'll always be my top YA favorite), then I went around and found people saying this series is also very similar, so I gave it a try and has loved it ever since. Admittedly I don't read YAs that much, but these two have pretty much hit the exact niche I dig. Currently in the process of writing a crossover incorporating both series which can be found on FF.net under this same pen name.

However, I've also read the classic and/or big hit YAs, like HDM, the Ender's Game series, HP (who hasn't?), HG (not that great IMHO), some works by Matthew J. Kirby (he writes very good YA books), and PJO/HOO, along with a few by Anthony Horowitz (Gatekeepers isn't bad) and an intense series called Last Survivors by Susan B. Pfeffer. Oh, also, there's this series called Temeraire by Naomi Novik that is supremely kick-ass, I highly recommend it, although it's not quite YA. I joined the forums because this seems to be a place where Levi fans are active and friendly, and... I suppose that's it for the intros?

Cheers :)

You've read Airborn? I'll bet Straif will be happy about that :)

Hello? I am Panzercrappitastica Bonechomper, but you can call me Panzer or Panz or Pan or really whatever you want. Welcome to the forum! And yes, this is a place were Levi fans are active and friendly ;D

I never really thought of PJ/HOO as YA... Kinda more pre-teen/early teen (although still awesome if you're older - can't wait for House of Hades!), I think.

Don't call Pan "Panzer" please. Then we get mixed up.

Ello! I'm Panzer Blitz, aka Time Blitz, aka Blitz. I've read both the Leviathan series and the Uglies series.

I'm a big sci-fi fan, fantasy fan, and like books in general.

I'm also a major science and history buff, and I like to study the history of armored warfare.

Oh, and I'm a girl by the way.

Thankies for the welcomes :)

And yeah @Pan (I shall call you this in honor of Pantalaimon even though he has nothing whatsoever to do with your name) I've read Straif's DF and it's fabulously written. Part of the reason I joined is also to find people who like both series - there seems to be so few!
