do you think leviathain should be made into a Hollywood movie or do you think it would be better as a mini series by the BBC?

mini series:the special effects wouldn't be as good  but BBC is more likely to fallow the history & have better acting.

Leviathain: movie or mini series?
« on: November 21, 2013, 07:01:56 AM »

My opinion is the mini series by The BBC because I feel like it would more likely follow the plotline of the book , the Time period that its based off of, it would  probably have better acting & a mini series would probably suit levithathain better then a movie because the book series takes place over the course three months. (Correct me if i'm wrong on that one.)
I feel like a Hollywood movie what would get it all wrong & the would acting be bad especially for alec & deryn because they'd  likely be played two Teenaged\ early twenty- something actors who can't do good Scottish & Austrian accents,  much less have good acting.

I agree. Mini series. That usually gives way more time to be able to cover the whole plot.

I'm seeing that ABC run of Dinotopia for some reason...anyone remember that? And the short-lived TV show that came from it.

Was that that 3D animation movie about dinosaurs that was on TV in the late 90's early 2000's? or am I thinking of something else I think I remember seeing something about dinosaurs as made for TV movie or miniseries in the early 2000's but I honestly don't remember it.  I was like 7 years old.

I don't think so...it did have CGI though FOR the dinosaurs but it wasn't ALL CGI.

....Band of Brothers is one of my all time favourite works, and it's a mini-series. The special effects are incredible, even though it's pretty much ten years old, and about war no less. So I vote mini-series. XD

And yes, I remember Dinotopia.  XD

Quite.  :3

I could also see the Leviathan series as a movie trilogy. Each movie would probably be joyously long and epic.  :3

They'd have to make them all ridiculously long to fit all the details in.
