Leviathan ww2
« on: December 04, 2013, 03:03:52 PM »

Hey guys, who thinks that Scott westerfield should make a second leviathan series about alek and deryn in the 20's and show there life as the Second World War draws closer it would be a good idea to show alek and deryn in Darwinist England and to show how Austria and Germany are coping after the First World War please support this idea. If you support it wright your user name down and I will send this to Scott westerfield. So please support this!!! Thank you

I thought that in the afterward to the last book that he said that World War 2 didn't happen in the Leviathan universe.

Its damn heavily hinted at, yeah. Not MENTIONED outright but its pretty obvious.
And of course the Manual Of Aeronautics has a "Coexitence Treaty 1915" splash page at the start.

And besides that, in the books both Deryn & alek are 15 years old so wouldn't they be in there early thirties by the time world war two started not in their 20's?

This topic always gets brought up and shot down since it's not canon. Scroll through the forum a bit more OP and you'll find tons of posts about WWII and its possibility in the Levi universe. I think most reach a consensus that Scott didn't plan for it, and that the history by the end of Goliath is too far from our own that we can no longer effectively predict what's going to happen next.

Still fun to try, I suppose, and a war always makes a story interesting.
