The nurse shook her head. "I'm afraid the problem lies with his heart. The shock sent him into cardiac arrest. The only thing that will help him now is a lot of rest and proper medical attention from professionals."

Caden nodded dumbly. It just didn't make any sense, none of it. How had he been immune to Darius's attack?

Skylar calmed down abit and decided to see if every thing was okay with Darius

Angelia rubbed her thumb over Caden's hand. So she couldn't help Darius, but at least she could comfort her friend.
"Do you want to be alone with him? " She askef Caden.

Caden shook his head. "I don't think I can be alone right now," he whispered.

"Okay, we'll stay with you then," Angelia assured him

He nodded absent-mindedly. "We should go then," he murmured. "We... none of us are much help right now."

"You sure?" Angelia glanced at the nurse, who was messing with some machine next to the bed. She took a half-step back, her attention swiveling to Caden.

Skylar Came to the room and started to open the door to it

"We're just getting in the way," he said.

The nurse glanced at them. "Don't you worry. Any changes in his condition and you'll be notified immediately."

"Thank you," Angelia smiled at her and then went to the door. "Oh, hey Skylar. We were just leaving."

Skylar looked up and saw Caden and Angelia "Oh Hi" she looked to see Darius and said "I`m just here to see him" and she walked over to him

Caden scowled. "There's nothing to see. He's unconscious."

Angelia nervously looked up at Caden. "Yeah, maybe you could come back later?" She suggested to Skylar. "When he's awake," She added.

"If he's awake," Caden murmured.
