I finally got to read the first two chapters of Nexus today and (SPOILER WARNING)

1. This really reminds me of The Gifted TV series, I'm only two chapters in and already there's like 6 plot points that are exactly the same. I guess that's to be expected though since Zeroes is already really similar to X-Men
2. Why is the name of the FBI agent Agent Phan, you can't tell me the writers of this series have never encountered the Dan and Phil fandom and didn't know exactly what they were doing
3. HECK YEAH a truth power, I always thought that would be a great Zero ability

1) I've never seen that show, but I wouldn't doubt it
2) never realized this but holy fucking shit I'm never gonna be able to take Phan seriously ever again
3) hellll yeah this character/power is awesome, my first instinct about the truth power was that it was Scam's flip, did u get the same impression? It's not, so that's not technically a spoiler, but yeah

1) The similarities to Zeroes, especially this first part of Nexus, are uncanny. It's crazy
2) I'm getting the impression that he's this serious and pivotal character but every time they mention his name I just think of the Phandom/Phan shippers and it's v distracting
3) I didn't even think of that, but that makes total sense and I'm kinda disappointed that they apparently didn't go in that direction now

1) u should keep a tally of all the similar plot points so we can scientifically prove that Nexus is actually just an inhumans rip off
3) yeah it's one of the slightly more minor Qualms. And it'll seem like an even better idea in later scenes, idk it just feels like a missed opportunity

Edit: although I will say that this new character and the other new characters introduced r personally the best parts of Nexus, so get hyped for that
