(Work? Jobs? What’re those? Lol)

“And we can invite Jenny and... Grayson’s new girlfriend,” Autumn said, a little disapprovingly.

Andrew couldn't help but chuckle, "You don't care for her much do you?" he said

“She’s a psych ward patient, Andrew, who knows what sort of issues she’s got. I’m sure she’s a nice girl, but we don’t know anything about her, and how could he? He’s known for a day. It’s a little weird how attached he is,” Autumn said. Ever since he woke up, she had been a bit more protective of him. “I don’t want to see him fall down some dark hole after a random girl.”

Andrew nodded, "I don't think any of us want to see that happen," Andrew said. Grayson's sudden infatuation with this girl was troubling, especially given the things he and Autumn had heard Grayson mumbling the previous night during his panic attack. "You heard what he was saying last night. He's terrified of being alone….then he latches onto the first girl that gives him attention."

“And I think we both know there was more than innocent attrition too,” Autumn said. “Which... how in the psych ward they managed that I do not know. Or maybe that’s just my assumption. But shit, the way he was talking about her...”

Andrew had to admit he was impressed they managed to do that in a psych ward, if that was in fact what happened.  "Now, that is the Grayson we know...but the guy gushing about being in love? Now that is out of character. Maybe once his head is clear, he'll be more reasonable?" Andrew said hopefully. After everything that happened with kassie, the last thing any of them needed was to invite some new psychopath into their lives.

Autumn wiped the wet from her face. “Yeah. We can only hope. And if this girl really is that important, I’m hoping she’s the decent sort. Not a crazy person.”

"I really hope she is the decent sort," Andrew agreed, "Grayson really needs something good in his life again, not more bad stuff," Andrew said. He let go of Autumn and let them into his apartment,

"Yeah... he does." Autumn walked into the apartment and went straight for the fridge. There was still pizza from last night leftover! "Food!" she said happily.

(I mean, their pizza was technically in grayson's apartment but whatever :P)

Andrew chuckled as he followed her to the kitchen, "We haven't really eaten anything since last night, have we?" he asked, helping himself to a slice of pizza.

Grayson's heart was racing. Something about all of this, their scheming, made him feel so alive.  It made him feel powerful, like nothing could touch him. Nothing could hurt him again. "Got it," he replied softly. He stood up, stretching his arms high above his head as if limbering himself up for their mission.

Jenny gave her a quizzical look. "It's awfully early to be breaking out the alcohol, don't you think?"

(I kinda just figured they went and got it LOL)

"Nope," Autumn said. She didn't even care that the pizza was cold, she was just hungry. "And we almost got Thai too. But then, my parents and their incredibly bad timing." It was a pattern with them, them appearing right at the worst moment.

Sophie stood up and planted a quick kiss on his cheek and then walked away, so nobody would notice. She headed over to one of the nurses. "I gotta pee."

"You just peed," the nurse replied.

"And I need to pee again. Unless you want me to stand here and wet myself, or worse, pee on you."

The nurse sighed. "Let's go."

Andrew hated cold pizza generally, but he was so hungry that it really did not matter. He scarfed down three slices in total before leaning against the kitchen counter with a satisfied smile on his face, "I almost felt like I needed to eat as fast as possible or we'd be interrupted again," he joked

"Don't jinx it," she said seriously. At this point, she wouldn't be surprised with another distraction.

Andrew rolled his eyes then grabbed himself another piece, “I’m sure we are in the clear for at least an couple hours,” he said jokingly. He also wouldn’t be surprised if something else came up.
