"Is he alright? Gio?" Casiel asked them suddenly as they made their way. Was Gio mourning him? Overcome with a desire for vengeance? It made him feel strangely guilty, Gio being upset over his death, even though it was no fault of his own.

“He’s upset,” Mateline told him. “He’s the reason I’m down here. I don’t think he can stand the idea of living without you.”

"The idiot thinks it's his fault," Elisha said bluntly. "Won't listen to reason on that one."

Gio looked at Diana and ran his fingers along the window sill, looking at the dust that collected under his nails, "What if he comes back different?" he murmured. "What if it would have been better to leave him there?"

Faline didn't come back inside right away, walking around to the back of the house and sitting against the cold cement. She was alive and her love was gone, her one reason to even stay alive.

(for heavens sake guys, go find Henry! :P)

"and that...is something you may have to be prepared for," Diana said gently, "Wouldn't you rather he come back, even if he may not be the same?"

Mateline kept leading them until she spotted him. “There! Henry!” She called out, speeding up her pace.

Gio looked at her and sighed, “Yes. Of course I want him here” he said and then came and sat down at the table, “I would do anything to have him here.”

Henry heard a familiar voice call his name, making his turn around to find the source. His eyes quickly found Casiel and the girls, which filled him with shock and guilt. Were they dead too? Were they all dead because of him? "No..." he said with a shake of his head.

Diana joined him at the table and took a seat beside her sister, who had scooted closer to Gio and was trying to comfort him; Livy had never enjoyed people suffering, especially those close to her.
"He will come back, and if he's different...well, you two seem to love each other enough to overcome that hurdle," Diana assured him

“Calm down, we’re not dead,” Elisha said. “Well, he is,” she said, pointing at Casiel with her thumb, “but we’re alive. We’re here to get you.”

Henry felt relief but it was short-lived as his eyes settled on Casiel. Henry was overwhelmed with guilt. He remembered what transpired in that compound vividly; it had been like Henry was trapped inside his body, watching the whole thing happen, with absolutely no control over his actions. Henry shook his head and backed away from them, "No...no I deserve to be here," Henry said

Elisha rolled her eyes. “Look, if you still feel like that when we get back to the land of the living, then kill yourself, but we didn’t come all the way down here to not come back with you. Plus, Faline would probably kill us.”

"Stop your moping and come on," Casiel snapped, urging them onwards. "The sooner we get out of here the better." He did not want to be caught there and risk never seeing Gio again.

"Fine," Henry snapped back, looking around them nervously before following Casiel, "How are even getting out of here?" he inquired. It didn't seem possible to leave the underworld, "Wouldn't we just come back as spirits? I don't want that..." he siad.

"How did you guys get in?" Casiel asked the girls. "Maybe we can get out the same way."

“There was a doorway in a cave,” Mateline explained. “I was hoping that would bring you back normally.” She looked around, the scenery had changed since they’d gotten there. It was like an ever changing maze. “I don’t know if I know how to get back.”
