"From what I remember, human is quite nice," Clara said. "It's more... sweet, I guess, than human? To me, anyway."

Charles stood and pushed his chair in, looking over towards his sister. He figured she'd be alright, though it did worry him a bit. He tried not to think to much about it and looked to Peggy with a smile. "I agree, resting would be nice," he said.

Maggie tried to give her brothers a reassuring smile, though she herself was a little nervous about having to sleep alone in this unfamiliar house. But she was a big girl, just barely an adult, and she needed to prove she didn’t need protection. It was the 20s for gods sake, she was a modern woman. “I am quite tired. Are our rooms close together?” She asked.

“Yes, side by side and right across the hall from me. If you have any issues, you may knock on my door and if you don’t find me there, the library is usually where I am,” she told them as she guided them up the stairs and then motioned to their rooms. Inside, they would find a large king sized bed, a wardrobe equal to a small bedroom, a powder room enclosed by a wooden divider, and pajamas already set out on the beds. “This is where I leave you, my pets. Have a good evening. I’ll see you in the morning”

Maggie stared into her bedroom in awe, not even glimpsing the entirety of it yet but still impressed. “Thank you very much.” She turned to her brothers. “I guess I’ll see you in the morning?”

Thomas pushed open the door to their room, checking out briefly before turning back to Peggy with a smile, "Good night. and again, thank you for everything," he said.

Charles stared at the one bed in his and his brother's room, squinting at it. "We have to share?" he muttered to himself. He supposed he couldn't be picky with their current situation, but it still put a damper on his mood. "Thank you Peggy," he added more loudly as he turned back toward her as well.

"At least we're sleeping inside, in a bed and now outside in the snow," Thomas said, "I promise, I don't snore," he teased.

Peggy looked at Thomas and gently placed her delicate fingers on his shoulder, “You shouldn’t carry your guilt Thomas. It will harm no one but yourself,” she told him and then pulled away, turning to go back fish the stairs

Thomas stared after her, frowning, "I'm not..." he started but closed his mouth, just watching her walked away. He sighed and looked to his siblings, "Good night Maggie," he said then disappeared into their room. How could he not carry the guilt of what happened?

Maggie watched her brother go into his room with a frown. “Goodnight,” she told Charles, seeing as Thomas was already in the room. “I hope we can leave soon,” she said in a conspiratorial voice.

Peggy took the walk down her stairs and then down the basement stairs, locking the door behind her as she looked at her little coven of vampire, “Are we feeding or not?”

"Yeah, me too," Charles agreed. "But hey, if you get cold you can just come join us," he added with a grin as he motioned toward the bed in his and Thomas' room. "But anyway, sleep well." He waved to Maggie and followed his brother into the room.
"Now, I know you said you don't snore, but I have lived with you for 20 years and I know how you sleep, dear brother. If a single finger or toe ends up on my side of the bed, you'll regret it."

Thomas rolled his eyes and threw a pillow at Charles, "I think this bed is plenty big enough to accommodate my restlessness," he said. He grabbed the pajamas from the bed and quickly changed into them, "I still cannot believe we happened to stumble across a mansion in the middle of nowhere," Thomas said

Charles laughed and caught the pillow. "Its odd, isn't it? Some of it seems like it's straight outta a real screamin' meemie, don't you think?"
