Maggie pointed out vaguely towards the barn. “Out there somewhere, though I don’t think you ought to interrupt right now. Come get drinks with us,” she said.

"I got their rings," he said defeatedly. He shrugged and put the satchel back into his pocket and turned to grab a glass.

Thomas' joyful smile was quickly replaced with a frown as he gazed upon the graves of her family, "Well, I certainly hope that I wouldn't be a disappointment to her," Thomas said. He let go of her hand and slid his arm around Peggy, gently rubbing her back.

Peggy shook her head quick, “Oh! Never! She’d be so pleased. You’re a kind resourceful man. Even if you don’t work now, you were diligent before and you’ve done nothing but be supportive.” She leaned up and gave Thomas a tender kiss, “Do you wish your parents were here?”

Maggie knocked back the rest of her champagne and grabbed another. “I’m sure they’ll appreciate that later, Charlie,” she consoled him. “They’re just a little wrapped up right now.”

Thomas grew quiet as he thought about his parents, as he had many times in the days leading up to the ceremony.
"I do wish they could have been here," he admitted

"'Wrapped up'. Funny way of saying 'consummating the marriage'," Nico said, wrinkling his nose before he stepped away from the other two, in need of a stiff drink.

“We could go see them,” Peggy told him and lifted his chin, “Let’s go. Maggie could see them. Stop moping all the time. A nice little honeymoon to your hometown,” she told him.

Maggie made a face at his comment. “I don’t want to imagine my brother doing that!” She called after him.

LOL all my characters are avoiding their families right now.... :P)

Thomas sighed as he looked back at Peggy, knowing he couldn't avoid his parents forever...though he wished he could.
"Most people don't visit their parents on a honeymoon," he pointed out with a slight grin, "but I suppose it would be nice to see them. I'm sure they will absolutely love you," Thomas said, "well...my mother will love you. my father...is unpredictable"

I should probably warn you that on Saturday we're going to Hawaii, for a week, so I will probably not be on much. Probably just in the evening (which will be WAY late for you east coasters :P)

<**um wow Stina rude**>

Nico found himself a drink (and by drink, another bottle- vampires could hold an extraordinary amount of alcohol), before he started strolling around the property, just staring at the sky. Still couldn't turn into a bat, still had no fangs. He'd grown weak, and it was only a matter of time before the others found out.

“I will be on my absolute best behavior,” Peggy teases him and then smirked, “Not to mention, I think we consummated our marriage long ago, I’m not so worried about it now,” she lied through a bright smile that certainly gave her away. “Surely there’s a hotel near your home”

Maggie glanced back behind the barn and sighed. "Well if they can't be bothered to show up to their own reception, I think I deserve to get well and truly drunk," she informed Charles matter-of-factly. "Care to join?"
