Peggy laid back against his chest, her robe loose around her, and drank deeply from her glass, staining her lips bright red. She turned her head to look up at him, "She's a wonderful woman. I--I expected worse to be honest, for not having been around for these years."

“I did not know what to expect from her,” Thomas admitted, “but I am so happy she was so accepting and forgiving,” he said, though he had a feeling his mother had been hiding her true feelings, especially with regards to the shop

Peggy nodded and finished her glass before putting it down and sighing out, running her fingers softly against Thomas' thigh, "The night is still young. Anything you wanted to see while we were in town?"

Thomas shrugged as he to put the glass down, "Not much that we can do in this town, even during the day," Thomas said, obviously oblivious to the nightlife that his sister was so accustomed to.

Peggy looked at him and nodded but then turned and chewed on her lip, “We could take a bath. I hear they just got warm water in this hotel. The manager downstairs was raving about it.”

"now that sounds delightful," Thomas said as he sat up, "for more reason than one," he added coyly.

Peggy sat up and then stood up, slowly walking towards the bathroom, pulling her robe on a little tighter, “We’ll you are going to have to teach me whatever you mean because I’ve only been married one night. I have no clue what you could be hinting at,” she said with a smile and turned into the bathroom.

"Yup," Nico grunted, pulling his hand away. "She probably thought she was helping some poor, broken wretch. A saintly thing to do, really. She managed to get me just to the steps of her home before the sun rose over the houses in the area," he said with a shudder, subconsciously touching the scars that trailed up his neck to his face. "At that point any reasonable part of me was gone, I was all animal. So I devoured her, dragged her body into her home and hid from the sun there. When her husband arrived home I killed him, too, to get my strength back up. Poor f*ckers never knew what hit 'em."

Maggie drew back, horror on her face. The way he talked, it was like she was there with him. “I see why you didn’t tell the others,” she said. “They wouldn’t have understood.”

"They never do," he sighed. Buncha bleedin' hearts. "I know they'd have all rather died than kill a human." He signalled the bartender to bring him another drink.

Maggie grabbed herself another drink at the same time, nodding along with him. “Trust me, I know. You shoulda seen their reactions when I killed one. I swear they’d have rather I died than him.”

Thomas slid off the bed and followed her to the bathroom, "Use your imagination," Thomas said with a wink as he went to the tub and turned on the water. As the tub slowly filled with water, Thomas took Peggy's hand and drew her closer to him and smiled as his he undid her robe

"You killed a human?" Nico asked. "Huh. Well I'll be damned," he said with a smirk, sipping at his drink.

"Don't you worry Mr. Juniper," Peggy told him as she watched him untie her robe and she slid it off her shoulders, "I know my onions." she then slid down into the water, letting him hold her robe as she took it off and sat down, holding her knees to her chest.

A small smile tugged at her lips, for once the thought of what she did not turning her stomach, instead a small stab of pride. “I sure did,” she told him. “Surprised?”
