Thomas looked at his sister with a matching expression. He missed Charles terribly, but knew it was for the best. Charles was succeeding with the paper and that made Thomas feel proud.  hes doing well in the city. We dont hear much from him though, Thomas admitted

I miss him. Itd be so nice to have all the siblings back together. She had to be happy that he was doing well though. She moved slightly closer to Nico, unconsciously wanting to be near him.

Peggy got up and went over to the bookshelf, opening a drawer and pulling out a few clippings from newspapers, "Here's some of his articles. I keep what I can. Well, whatever I think he would be proud of writing," she told Maggie as she brought over the clips.

Thomas smiled brightly as Peggy brought over Charles' articles; he'd read every single one of them. It made Thomas feel closer to his brother, despite the distance between them, "He really is a remarkable journalist," Thomas said proudly.

Maggie grabbed the clippings hungrily, eyes large and grinning. Oh I cant believe I missed these. She started to read bits and pieces. He is so good.

Thomas inched closer to Maggie, looking over at the articles in her hands. He pulled on out and smiled, this one is my favourite, Thomas said.

"Makes you wonder if he ever regrets missing out on all this fun," Nico said wryly. He was sure a vampire journalist would have plenty to talk about. But, then again, who would want to read something like that?

"I've asked Charles only once more if he would consider an eternal life with all of us, but--he denied it. I suppose, wanting to age is a luxury the rest of us just don't get, but he's content." Peggy mentioned and looked at Nico with a chuckle.

"No Maggie, Charles has made his choice," Thomas siad firmly, "it's selfish of us to put that pressure on him," Thomas added. it would be hard to watched their brother grow old and die but Thomas wanted Charles to enjoy his life. His fully human life.

Maggie scowled, knowing her brother was right but not pleased to admit it. Doesnt he understand how difficult its going to be though?
