Thomas had always longed to travel to Europe and see more of the world. Now that he’d finally made it, he wanted nothing more than to return home. Arriving there without his wife by his side was heartbreaking. He wanted to experience it with her. Thomas didn’t even know for certain if she was alive; that made it all worse.

“Come on then, let’s find a Inn,” Thomas said to his siblings once off the ship; he was eager to write to peggy. The sooner she join them the better; he couldn’t stand another day without her.

Since coming to on their trip to England, Charles had hardly spoken - if he'd spoken at all, he wasn't entirely sure now. He didn't see how it mattered anyway, because what the hell was the point? He just looked at Thomas when he spoke and then hefted his jacket tighter around himself to walk past his brother.

Maggie watched her brothers intently, arm locked tightly with Nico’s. She felt guilty for how much better she felt now that they were no longer in America. They were safe from th hunters, but Peggy wasn’t. She had her own ghastly idea of what would be happening to her back there, but it would do her brother’s no good to voice that. “We should find a cheap one,” she suggested. They really couldn’t afford to spend all their money now. She wanted to comfort Charles, but she couldn’t think of anything to say that wouldn’t upset him further.

Explaining their predicament to Charles when he’d finally come to had been very difficult. Thomas had hated doing that to his brother. It had been such a relief to see such joy on charles’ face again; Thomas had hated being the one to tell him what Elizabeth had done. To steal that joy away. Thomas watched Charles push past him, saddened by everything; he couldn’t even begin to comfort Charles when he himself was in such a poor state. “Good idea mags,” he agreed then followed after Charles, saying nothing more

Charles paused to look around for a moment, then spotted a pub and tavern by the water.
"Over there," he said to his siblings, his voice a bit rough from disuse.

"Perfect," Thomas grunted, already walking towards the pub, "We'll need to stop by a butcher once we get some rooms at the tavern," he said, more to his sister and Nico. He was getting to the point where if he didn't feed soon, some poor human was going to have a very bad day.

"I may as well go to the butcher now," Nico said, stretching one arm across his chest, followed by the other. His joints felt stiffer than a corpse. "We don't all need to be there to get booked into an inn."

Maggie crossed her arms. “Do you want me to go with you?” She asked him, unsure whether she should stay with her brothers, both of whom must be in awful mental places.

"Go with him Mags," Thomas said shortly, too exhausted emotionally and physically to really care. "We will check in," he said while already walking off.

Charles eyed Nico, but then just shrugged and trudged off after Thomas.
