Charles tried to wrack his brain, trying to fit together this person Nico was describing to the one he had met earlier. None of it sat right with him, really. But the man who threatened his parents seemed more on par with who Nico was talking about.

<**we can probably ff. Mikhal's the type to bring about his plots slowly to build suspense :p**>

Nico narrowed his eyes at Thomas. "He didn't just threaten me, did he?" He asked, putting his arm around Maggie. "Whatever he said, I'd take it extremely seriously."

Maggie frowned, furrowing her eyebrows. She thought back, trying to remember if he directly threatened her or not and couldn’t quite remember. Still, he hadn’t seemed to like her. “Thomas who did he threaten?”

Thomas shook his head once and stared down at the floor, hands clenched tightly into fists. "I think we should return to America," he said, "Our parents are in danger," he said, feeling helpless.

"Whoa whoa whoa, back to America?" Nico hissed. "Isn't Peggy gonna be in some sort of danger if we do that?"

Maggie shook her head, not understanding. “What do you mean they’re in danger? I mean, he wouldn’t...” her voice trailed off, weighing the options. “Would he do that? Travel so far just to hurt them?” She asked, aiming her question at Nico.

"Yeah," Nico said. "He wants me, not them. They have nothing to do with me. I won't be hurt by him killing them."

“Why don’t we just lay low for a little. I’m sure he won’t board a boat all the way back to America, Thomas.” Maggie pursed her lips, trying for once to be the sensible one. “Besides, I’m sure we can take him. Three against one? He doesn’t stand a chance.”

Thomas still didn't like it but he nodded, "I...suppose," he said uncertainly. Thomas leaned against the wall and just slid to the ground, burying his face in his arms. First his wife now his parents, and there was nothing Thomas could do about it.

Charles looked down at Thomas, his heart dropping. "It should be alright," he said, though he wasn't convinced.

Nico leaned against the wall, chewing at the skin around his nails, deep in thought. "Didn't you send a letter to Peggy, or something? Do we know how she's doing?"

Maggie knelt beside her brother, placing an tentative hand on his shoulder. “Have you received response?”

"Nothing, I've received nothing! She could be dead for all I know!" Thomas snapped as he raised his head. "Sorry...this is just, hard," he said, terribly embarrassed.
