Peggy finally arrived at the little shack and when she became herself again, she grabbed a curtain and wrapped it around herself, looking at the scene in horror, “What is happening?! Who is this?!”

(YES. That was exactly what I was thinking!)

Thomas fell back as the girl lunged, stunned but not surprised. He'd connected the dots just a moment too late; Mikhal's blood covering her, the hunger. He was filled with anger, knowing what Mikhal had done to the child. "Stop!" he shouted at the wolf and Elizabeth, "You'll just frighten her more!" Thomas hissed.r He turned around at the sound of Peggy's voice and raised an eyebrow; she must have thought Mikhal was trapping them. Thomas almost would have preferred that to him leaving behind an innocent child with such a terrible curse. "Mikhal turned her Peggy," Thomas said, voice cracking, "She's starving. We have to get her some blood," he insisted

Maggie was shaking, not sure what she could or should do. “You left Nico?” She accused Peggy, keeping her distance from the young girl.

“He’s fine,” Peggy hissed at Maggie, “He’s with Charles. He hasn’t been poisoned. You were tricked by Mikhal. We need to go back,” Peggy said and then looked back to the girl. She slapped the Wolf’s muzzle and it pulled away, growling but backing down. Peggy walked up to the girl and put her hands on her face, “Please. Calm down.”

Maggie watched Peggy’s back, surprise evident on her face. If that was true...then she’d put everyone into unnecessary danger. And she wasn’t with Nico, when he would need her most. “What are we supposed to do with a child?”

Elizabeth watched Peggy and the girl warily, arms crossed over her chest now. "Why would he do this to a little girl?" She asked, nails digging into her own arms.

The little girl did her best to gulp down her tears with one last hiccup. "I-I'm sorry," she whispered. "I just wanna go home..."

Peggy looked at the little girl and then pulled her hands off the girl's face, "It's okay sweetheart. I--I promise, we will try to take you home." she said and then looked at the others, "My parents took care of me, even after I was turned and killed my brother."

Thomas eyed his wife, frowning a bit, "Your parents locked you away," Thomas said, his eyes moving back to the little girl. he struggled to imagine how her parents could possibly understand or accept their daughter's vampirism.

"I mean, for their and my safety," Peggy said and then looked at Thomas, "I'm not going to just steal their child away!"

Thomas sighed and got to his feet again, "I know, that would not be right," he agreed. He looked around the shack, his jaw clenching; he hadn't fully realized what a monster Mikhal was until that moment.

The girl sat and stared up at them, still sniffling. "Who.. who are you?" She finally asked. Did they know who that scary man was?
