Peggy nodded and shrugged, “He was doing alright. Still dead you know? His hands look frightful, but—“ she frowned, “They May heal”

Maggie cringed at the mention of his hands. “I’ll make them heal,” she pledged. “I was just so sure he was poisoned...I mean he wasn’t waking up and he looks so sickly.”

“That’s what silver does,” Peggy explained, “Francis was shot one time with silver. I’m pretty sure he had that wound until he died,” she told Maggie.

She shook her head in disgust, hating the thought that he may never heal. “No, I’ll find a way to heal it.” Her jaw was set, there was no question to it.

Sorry all, was at rend collective last night. )

Thomas followed them all out of the shack, remaining rather quiet as he walked alongside his wife. He was furious that this young, innocent girl, had been used and discarded by mikhal just so he could mask his own smell. It was despicable! However, it also seemed to be an answer to the one thing he and peggy couldn’t have. He’d seen the look on Peggy’s face when Ruth revealed she was orphaned; he’d felt it himself.

Peggy looked to Thomas and took his arm as they walked and let out a deep sigh, “Were there any traps? Any you hurt at all?”

Thomas shook his head, "No one is hurt. There wasn't a single trap, just her," Thomas said, looking over at the girl. He swallowed hard as he thought how close he'd come to burning the place down.

“She’s a distraction then. He—he’s throwing us off,” Peggy said and then looked at Thomas and leaned over, kissing his cheek, “What’s wrong?”

"I hate that he's playing games with us," Thomas said, "If the wolf hadn't knocked down the door...I was going to burn that shack down to drive Mikhal out," Thomas siad quietly, frowning even more, 'I...I would have killed her Peggy,"

“Interesting,” Peggy said, more about the wolf knocking the door down. She raised an eyebrow looking back behind her at the wolf who was walking along, looking suspicious.

Thomas followed her eyes back to the wolf, "What's wrong? Do you not trust her? She hasn't attacked any of us," Thomas said with a shrug, not seeing what the big deal had been. The girl seemed to have good enough control over herself in wolf form

“Ainslie,” Peggy called but the wolf didn’t glitch, just continuing to walk along. She shook her head, “I don’t think she’s controlling anything.  I think the wolf is playing along.”

Thomas frowned, "maybe we shouldn't bring the wolf back to Charles," THomas said, suddenly concerned,

Peggy scoffed, “If anyone is safe, it’s Charles.” She then turned as she heard a growl and watched as the wolf suddenly took off in front of them, running ahead.

Thomas raised an eyebrow as the wolf took off, "I suppose it would be too optimistic of me to hope she's found Mikhal?" Thomas joked.
