Peggy looked to Thomas, “Ruth says she saw a woman in the house. She said she wanted us out,” she said to him and raised an eyebrow, “Ainslie, are you alright?” Ainslie nodded slowly and grit her teeth, “A spirit” she murmured hearing of the woman.

"Ah, your entire family?" The young woman asked. "I suppose, ah, Will doesn't really have much of that on his side. Shame none of you were around to see the place in its prime. Oh, silly me, I'm Mary by the way," she added, chatting as she worked. She found it helped distract her patients from the pain.

"Wait, a spirit? Like...a ghost?" Thomas asked, looking at Ainslie then back at Peggy. He lived in a world where vampires and werewolves existed; it wasn't a stretch to believe ghosts haunted the place. "Didn't Nico's family all die here?" he asked, growing nervous

“It’s nice to meet you, Mary,” Charles said pleasantly. He was happy for the distraction, and that she seemed to know what she was doing.

"Perhaps they are not taken to strangers. Maybe we should talk with them," he suggested

"Talk with ghosts?" Ruth piped up. "I dunno if that's a good idea..."

"So, Charles, just how did you go about breaking your arm?" She asked him. "Rough-housing with Will? I'd bet my money on that, if he's anything like his father," Mary said with a bemused smirk.

Maggie began by pulling the blanket off the bed in the master bedroom. It was old and dusty and she doubted that Nico would want to sleep under it. She bunched it up on the floor and started trying to clean the place up a bit. She shuddered a bit, feeling a blast of cold air behind her. She spun around, positive someone was standing right behind her, but there was nothing.

Charles raised his eyebrows at that. “Oh, no, I...fell out of a tree,” he explained. Saying it to a stranger really did make it seem all the more childish, but he couldn’t find that he minded too much. “What was Will’s father like?” He prompted, curious about what Nico was like before.

Mary smirked at his explanation. "Trust me, it's not the silliest way I've heard of someone breaking a bone," she told him confidently. She sighed. "He was something else all right. Always getting in to scraps- not a fortnight went by where my papa didn't have to patch him up after some row or another. I usually helped as well, so I suppose I owe a lot of my medicinal knowledge to Nicholas." She had almost finished up. "But despite all of it, he was a sweet boy. Always knew how to put a smile on everyone's face. But, oh," Mary tutted. "Look at me, reminiscing about the past like some old fuddy-duddy!"

"Would you like me to walk you up to a bedroom Ruth? I can make sure the ghosts keep away," Ainslie offer with a daring smirk

“Oh, I don’t mind. I think Will certainly kept a bit of his father’s personality, it seems. As far as fighting goes, anyway.” He was surprised to hear that Nico was once so personable, given the man he was now. Although, Charles supposed, anyone would become a bit jaded after that long.
