"Because we're good people," Maggie reminded him, a sardonic grin. "Because if we don't my brother will throw a hissy fit."

"Hm," Nico grunted. His head whipped up as he sniffed the air. "You smell that?" he asked, grinning fiendishly. "Bear."

Maggie's head shot up, catching the scent not moments after him. "I bet I can take it down first," she challenged with a cocky grin.

The wolf ran into the woods, deeper and farther. It didn?t seem like Maggie was chasing her. Nor the other vampire. They weren?t seeking her so she could just get away.

"In your dreams," Nico grinned. He leapt to another tree, then another, following the bear's trail. He eventually came upon the animal, a gargantuan animal, easily the largest one he had ever seen. Perhaps he would need Maggie's help with taking it down.

Maggie had followed not far behind him and was a little surprised to find the beast to be so large. ?Maybe we should find a more reasonable animal to hunt.?

"You scared?" Nico asked, nudging her playfully. "Come on, let's consider this a test: see how far your vampiric skills have come." He jumped down suddenly, right onto the bear's back. It reared back, roaring ferociously, and Nico dug his hands into its fur, holding tight.

Maggie rolled her eyes, unwilling to admit maybe she was a little afraid. But she certainly wasn?t going to let Nico face the thing alone, or take all the credit. She followed a second later, trying to help subdue the thing. How did one even take down something this big?

The bear threw him off, Nico managing to catch himself on a tree before jumping back into the fight. "I'll hold it down, you go for the throat!" he cried at Maggie.

Maggie hesitated, not fully convinced he could hold it down successfully. After a deep breath, she leapt forward, following his instructions and sinking her teeth into the neck to try and disable the thing.

The bear reared back on its hind legs, swinging its arms and stamping its feet. Nico latched onto one of its hind legs, biting down hard on the ankle. The beast let out a shriek and fell again, momentarily immobilized.

Maggie took it's moment of passivity to rip into it's throat more, pulling away chunks of skin and fur. IT certainly wasn't her most put together moment, but it felt good to feel so powerful.

"Yes! That's my girl!" Nico exclaimed. Maggie had dropped the beast, like a beast herself. He hugged her, kissing the top of her head. "I don't think I've ever seen you look more beautiful," he teased.
