"After you, Miss," Nico said, stepping aside to allow the Mistress of the house ahead of them. "So exactly how long are the humans going to be staying here?" He asked suddenly. "Are we going to be expected to keep up some sort of farce so they don't discover what we really are?"

Thomas smiled at that thought, "I bit," he agreed, "I'll be glad when the storm stops and we can go home," he said, "this place gives me the chills....especially her staff"

(I've been dying to use it in a sentence lmao)

Charles hummed in agreement as he changed into the pajamas. "Definitely and odd bunch, there's no doubt. Wonder how they all ended up here."

Thomas lay back on the bed, "I was wondering that too. Why would anyone want to work in a creepy mansion in the middle of a secluded forest?" he mused.

"Of course we would have to," Clara replied. "Imagine, them finding out. They'd have an army of townsfolk here in no time to burn us to hell."

Peggy strung up the hog herself, pressing a hand to its head to thank it for being their sacrifice before putting a large metal trough underneath  and then pulling a knife off the wall, slitting its throat and letting it bleed  out. She took a wine glass from a nearby bar stand beside them and dipped it into the growing pool of blood. She took a deep breath of the blood before taking a long drink of her glass, fangs having emerged, eyes nearly a glow. She then stepped aside and motioned, "My friends."

Happy to finally be feeding, Clara reached for a glass and dipped it into the blood. She tried to drink it slowly, but was too hungry, and gulped it down quickly, almost embarrassingly.

Maggie stood in front of her bed, having changed into the bedclothes provided but unwilling to settle. There was something off about this place and she intended to find out what. Charles and Thomas May be ready for bed, but she was far too curious for sleep. So she crept out of her room, electing to wander the house.

Cal waited to take his turn, savoring the taste of blood. It's rich, salty-copper flavor. It's warm wetness.

(But not for Charlie boy! He can force Thomas.)

Charles didn't answer, instead he went over to the door. "Come on, let's see if we can't get some answers."

Thomas fixed his brother with a hard stare, “Charles, I don’t know if that’s a good idea,” he said. He did not think their hostess would be please with them snooping around.

"You big bluenose, where's your sense of adventure?" Charles rolled his eyes at his brother.

Thomas groaned and then got up from the bed; he knew Charles would go off regardless so he would feel better if he went too. “Oh fine,” he said

Charles grinned and stepped out into the hall, carefully looking up and down the hall when he spotted Maggie. "Oh good, more family bonding," he joked in a hushed voice.
