What is normal?
« on: July 04, 2010, 12:15:09 PM »

In the Uglies series, it was perfectly normal to say things like "bogus" or "bubbly" or other slang. It was perfectly normal to want to turn 16 so that you could do pretty-making surge. It was perfectly normal to do things that oppose to todays normal. So I ask you: What is normal?

normalcy is what most of society do
i don't despise normalcy, i just don't think people should go out of their way to fit in, people should be themselves, if that means they're "normal" then so be it, if that means they're really eccentric and unique, then that's fine too

There is no definition of normal.

indeed. Normal is a fictitious standard that we impose on others and ourselves. You cannot average out personalities, or faces....

What if we lived in a world where Lady Gaga's thinking and look was the normal thing?  It would be like Diego.
