Sadie shook her head. “Not really, but I’m not so sure we’ll be safe back at the house if Eli’s turned on us...”

Norah watched Elijah walk away, barely registering the conversation taking place between the others. Just over a week ago they had said I love you to each other and now it seemed like he’d forgetter everything. “I don’t want to leave him,” Norah finally said, though she knew it wasn’t wise to linger there too long.

"Eli hasn't turned on us! We just need to figure out what's happened," Natalie insisted. She looked at Norah, her expression sympathetic. "I don't want to leave him either, but until we figure out a few more things I don't think we can stay here."

Nova looked up at her and nudged Norah's hand with her snout, which brought Norah back to reality. She sighed and nodded, "fine, let's just go back to the safe house," she said

Apollo nodded to them and started walking outside. Once he was out there, however, Elijah was there as well - this time with Maia. He spotted them and frowned, but it looked as if he was waiting.
"Nat, are you going with them?" He asked, looking directly at her.
"Um, yes. I...it'd be cool if you came too, so we can just talk about some stuff," she said. Elijah looked warily at the others, uncertain.
"Fine," he agreed. "I'll drive myself, though."

Norah hung back, staring at Elijah and Maia; she didn’t trust herself to speak. She just want him to remember but breaking down in front of him wasn’t going to help. her heart jumped with hope as he agreed to go with them.

Apollo nodded. "Someone should go with him, in case we get separated while he's following," he said, looking at the other three.

At that point, Norah stepped forward, "I...I'll go with him," she interjected before anyone else could. She just needed to have that time alone with him; maybe she could jog his memory somehow.

Elijah looked at her and raised an eyebrow, but shrugged. "Come on, then," he said and turned to go to his own car, Maia following.

Norah's heart was beating hard and fast as she followed Elijah to his car, ignoring Nova whimpering behind her as she left the others behind. "I see you got a new car," Norah commented, wondering if he'd thought it strange that his own car was gone without any explanation.

"It was a gift," he informed her as he unlocked it. "How did you know it was new, though?" Elijah asked, frowning in confusion.

"Because you had to abandon your car when the wolves took you captive and we never got around to getting it back," Norah said, frowning right back at him before getting into the car.

"Um..." Elijah got into the driver's side once the daemons were settled in the back. "How exactly did we meet, then?" He asked, starting the car.
