The books that the world calls immoral are the books that show the world its shame- Oscar Wilde

That's a great quote, by the way.  Love it.
Top four reasons books are banned, at least in the US:

Occult (  ::)  ) Because Harry Potter is a manual of witch craft and will let Satan into your soul...
Anti-Christian
Homosexuality
Sex

You see which side is generally doing the banning.
Of course.  ::)

Yay! Cool teachers.
My english teacher always incorporates little Hunger Games things like ''May the odds be ever in your favor'' in our worksheets that she makes. I'm the only one who gets them, though. :D

Haha yeah. She, and my science teacher even have Mockingjay t-shirts. Kinda strange, but they're like my favorite teachers.

Banning Harry Potter is just insane.
Over 400 million copies of that series have been sold.
many people would say that Harry Potter is the book series
that got them to start reading.
and they want to ban it?

There is nothing wrong with the books
sure they are about magic and that is something that parents(especially religious parents)
think their kids shouldn't be reading about that.
The thing is, they have to realize that it is fiction.
it isn't real. Just because the adults don't have
an imagination doesn't mean they should
suck all of it out of their kids.

Adults can be so frustrating sometimes.

on my quick opinion the only immoral thing's about book's is banning them. i see so many people these day's judge the book without even reading it it make's me sooo mad. beside's they can ban book's alll they want  (not that im ok with it) i can just borrow book's from my friends or Buy them but that thing about the gov on the first post that is really messed up. that man was looking for closure and that was waaay to unfair
but i do think book's with unappropriate scene's should be taken away until high school. then we should have the freedom to read as we wish

Yes, but seeing as we've read Scott's books, that automatically makes us awesome. And, awesome people should have the liberty to read whatever they please. :D ;D
