*sighs* If the book series is all done, you can expect spoilers to be floating around.
 @ Seth
You're right, Mockingjay does follow that thing. I hope Leviathan doesn't go quite as crazy.
I know the idea of the heroic sacrifice has been around, but I felt it worth mentioning because so many YA authors skate over things and produce perfectly happy endings to please their fanbase. So it's sort of different to have an author who simulates reality.

Yeah, I got what you were trying to say.  I guess most of the books I read are just serious with serious authors who stay true to a hero's ending.

I guess...
everyone say goodbye to Alek and Deryn's sanities, livelihoods, and misc. body parts. Cause something's gonna go down.

Doing anything has consequences. Tally wasn't the only one who went insane.
1)Isaac Clarke, sole survivor of the Agies incident and one of the three survivors of the Sprawl incident, suffers from PTSD and Dementia because of his 'dead' girlfriend.
2)John-117, is trapped in th evoid between worlds by destroying the ark
3)Jacob Keyes suffered a most painful death to save his planet
4)The Doctor, oh the Doctor. He is th most important, he lost his world, his people. He is always alone for the fear of others being hurt by him, and he pushes them away.

Beginning a hero does have it's price. I was just thinking about this topic again, it kind of relates to lots of stuff.  Makes me sad too.  Like I do a bunch of extracurricular stuff for school and end up with endless work and stress.  I feel under appreciated SO  much.  Maybe that's why I feel I can relate to Uglies.
