Topic... Erm... Control

See, I don't know what caused the forum troubles. Maybe it was too much data, maybe not. But either way, I've noticed the forum getting slower. Part of it's probably because of the million and a half spam members joining. But we also have a lot of topics that aren't really neccesary. So I'm suggesting some guidelines that might cut back on the strain we're putting on the forum.

1. Before making a new topic, look for one that already exists. We have like, 4 Lilit topics, and about 6 topics about the forum problems. We dont' need all of these. Maybe before making a new thread, we can look through the boards and find one that matches.

2. Some of the threads are sort of... looking for a good word... small. That's not right.... what I mean is that they fit under a bigger umbrella, so to speak. For example, instead of making a new topic about 'I Hate SoandSo', find the topic 'I hate...' or whatever it's called, and post there.

3. Categories. I'm guilty of this one, I'll admit. Often we'll post a fanfic or fanart in a whole new topic. INstead, maybe we should have one fanart and one fanfic thread on each board. (like the crazylong titled one on the Leviathan board). Then all of the stuff will be centralized, and we'll save space.

4. Other umbrella stuff. Also guilty of this one - I'll post celebratory 1000 posts, etc. Maybe make a celebration thread for everyone to post there whenever they hit a milestone. And do other grouping threads like that.

Anyway, we dont' have to do all of this. But if we do some of it, we might help the forum work faster and smoother.

I agree.  I also think that after a certain length of time of a topic not getting posted in, it should be deleted. (i.e. topics that haven't been replied to in well over 7+ months, possibly less)
The other thing that we need is more Admins to take control of spammers.  We've already got a few of them today.
