I remember trying to read The Hobbit about five years ago, and I think I got through most of it, but I stopped with like two chapters to go. I'm not sure why...

I never even tried to read The Hobbit.
I just listened to this song:

... That was weird...

Hey, has anyone here read the Last Apprentice series? I think they're called The Wardstone Chronicles or something like that.

Well, I'm waiting for the fourth book, and was wondering if anyone could tell me the summary. It's nowhere online.

And best of all, the author draws his own pictures! Also I met him in a Hugo Cabret convention *taking place in a movie theater of course* and he signed my book!  :) (My teacher in grade 3 used it as a book study for a term and he took us there)

^I want to read that too. But my kindle only has the audio version. It sucks. And I found the Last Apprentice, so it's all good!

I am just sitting around waiting for Goliath to come out (after I survive my school's fieldtrip to Agonquin Park of course).

Same. Except I don't live in Canada, so I couldn't go to said park.

Agonquin Park is the largest park/woods in Canada. When you go there to go canooing/camping, all of my teechers say that there are stalkers who stalk you in the middle of the night when they took the midnight canoe lessons. Wish me luck when I go there for one week.  :)

The last book I read before Leviathan came along and supplanted it as my favorite was The Prophet's Camel Bell by Margaret Laurence. The book was Laurence's memoir about living in Somalia with her civil engineer husband in the 50's (before everything went to hell, as seen in Black Hawk Down). Current favorites while I wait for Leviathan are: Reading Lolita in Tehran, The Bloody White Baron and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind manga.
