Weapons comparison! Yay!

*cracks knuckles*

Who's ready for a weapon expert's opinion?

And of course Blitz has her thoughts...I'm interested in hearing this.

hahahaa.....

1. Although Darwinists have some pretty cool crap, we need to look at this from a tactical point of view, NOT personal.

Darwinists have powerful, anti-infantry and anti-fighter and anti-ship weapons. But they have no long range artillery, or anything that could take down a land cruiser walker. They also have a longer time to develop weapons.

Clanker technology is advanced, can be mass produced, and seems more diverse in its functions. THey also have potent long ranged weapons. However, I feel that such machines would break down a lot, and some would have trouble with certain terrain (like the irl WWI tanks).

So, in my thoughts, Clanker and Darwinist technology is almost equal in potency, with Clankers a bit ahead (thus was the reason for the secret eggs and for Darwinists to get an edge).

That's how it was with irl WWI, as well.

I second this. Though one note...we don't know what the Darwinists or Clankers might have hidden away. We only saw a fraction of their gear...perhaps the Darwinists have something like a Seeder from Gears of War.

Maybe, but this is an analysis of what we DO see.

I wonder what it would take to push a walker over?  ::)

Depends on the walker. One of the smaller ones...not a huge amount. Something the Herkules...you're gonna need some high explosives.

Thanks. I try.

In my opinion, depends where you strike. You hit only two legs, you won't need a ton of explosives. Just some in critical, weaker areas of the legs.

The joints probably. Bring down the bow legs and the whole thing kneels like a drunk.

You could only use a couple soldiers, or they'd spot you. Covert mission, after all.

And each man would be able to carry so much explosives, and that's without factoring in that they'd have to climb a significantly large distance.

What the Darwinists need would be some kind of pinpoint-accuracy long-range weapon capable of hitting the joints without exposing itself to the walker's own fire. Or, more realistically, range that allows it the most minimum exposure to enemy fire.

That, I feel, would be something the Americans would more likely have, since it would probably be built as a Clanker/Darwinist hybrid.

I think both are fantastic powers and would not exist without the other. :)

I think the darwinists would have made a little creature that explodes like the one on gears of war the tickers, so they would just climb up the legs and blow
