Don't worry I think everyone agrees with you. I know I do, I tried to read the Egyptian ones but I couldn't get into the first book it felt a little forced. The characters didn't seem as good as the others and I don't think it was just that I knew the others first because I liked the new characters in the Lost Hero just fine. I think the story just wasn't as inspired as Percy Jackson was.

agreed I had to force myself to read the 1st book cuz I knew that it would probably get better later in the series and it sort of did but it's still got nothing on Percy Jackson and probably never will!!! Have you read the second book?

Oh I never even got through the 1st one, at the time I got it from my public library I also had other books so about 30 pages into it I though "Ok this is boring me and I know I have better books waiting."

Yeah the bad thing is I very rarely quit on a book. I think I just had much higher expectations since Percy was so good.

same for me but (as I've already said) like pageinbooks I forced myself to read it. Don't you hate when you're waiting for one book and you already have a bunch of others at home but you just can't make yourself read them? I think that is one of the worst feeling you can have that's related to books

Do you want me to suggest some books to help you get out of the slump?

Ok well some that I read really fast, just recently too, are the Forbidden Game series by LJ Smith where Jenny gets a game for a party she is having for her boyfriend and their friends but the game turns real and each one of them must face their fears to win. I really recommend this series for your slump because it's only a trilogy and I read them in no time, they were so good. It's almost like a good horror movie series.
