He was one of the smartest, yet most down to earth characters, thats why you fall in love with his character instantly.

Az and Maddy were probably both assholes. MOST people in Uglies are assholes if you really think about it. But since everyone else around them is ALSO an asshole, they don't seem like assholes.

Hell yeah she is! Christ, I wanna give her a good hard slap...if for no other reason than her apperent naiveity to think that the Smoke could be hidden from SpecCirc forever. Yeah, right...
Then again I want to slap Cable for not simply obliterating the Smoke as she SHOULD have done. You don't get break-outs if your'e target's a smoking crater!

They didn't seem very interested in not killing that one guy...the fat one who ran the libarary there. If anything, they'd probably complain they didn't get the chance to smash it themselves.
To qoute my own Special character (thought up way back when I first read Specials) "They're just randoms; easily replaceable, interchangable, EXPENDABLE. Who cares if a few die? Two more will take each's place and you won't notice any difference."

True. Of course we don't really know because we dont' know much about Cable...

And I do, sorta. I don't really HATE them, I dislike the fact they have so much potential but they don't USE it (me being the violence-loving military junkie I am). My guy was the villian in the fic I thought Asher up for, and he ended up being "cure" when, during his final fight with Asher atop the Valentino radio tower, he was hit by a lightning bolt.

I saw her as she was shown in the books, clouded a bit with fanboy anger and the vision of an adult looking back on a teen novel. I'll take what you got.
