He doesn't really seem to... actually DO anything, though. He just kinda goes along with stuff, pops up, says something, and leaves. It was like that in Pretties, at least.
In Specials I remember liking him a little more, but I haven't read Specials in, like, forever, so what do I know. :P

I'm just surprised at the number of fans he has, on here at least.

Well, you already technically know what he did, but you really wouldn't believe Shay in the original series because she was such a hot mess. and it used to be worse(the poll, Zane was winning by 10 at one point.)

I've yet to read Shay's story, but the fact that it sounds like I'll hate David even more than I already do is reassuring.
