Books all the way :D
I do love the visuals in fantasy or sci-fi movies, though :P

I like both... but if it comes to a book made into a movie, then the book.

It depends on how well I like the book or the movie.
For example I like The Lord of the Rings both movie and book equally but I like Sophies World (not sure if the title is the same than the German one) only the movie I think the Eragon movie is horrible.
So why is there no point for "Both"??^^

You're seriously asking this on this forum? We're all readers here, right?

I always say the books are better than the movies. Yes, I know that there are some exceptions. There are exceptions to any statement. But in general, in my opinion, books are better. Though it is very cool to see a book come to life before your eyes. And with a movie, all you have to do is sit and stay awake.

Don't get me started on Eragon... The only good thing about that movie was Garrett Hedlund. *Sighs* Murtagh...  :D

Well, I thought that the Eragon actor was ok compared to the others running around.
Brom was so not how I expected him and Arya was the worst choice you can make. It was really a tragedy to watch. They spent so much money on making a good Saphira (which I thought was quite good actually) that they forgot to look after good actors, too.
Did you too got the feeling in the end of the movie that they just wanted to finish this "thing" in the end??

Meh, Eragon wasn't bad looking. And the only reason I liked Garrett Hedlund in the movie was because his hair was dark. I don't normnally go for blondes. Anywho, yeah... It was just sad to watch... I agree that at the end it was really rushed. Well, the whole movie seemed rushed... And Saphira was good. Rachael Wiess did a good job. It's a pity really, that the rest was so... Not up to my expectations.

But it was funny how you could look at the people sitting in the cinema and could tell if they read the book or are just there because of the ads^^

  *didn't see Eragon*
I am a book devotee. If so much as one detail differs in the movie from the book, I go insane.

There are a lot of movies that I'm not a big fan of, but loved the books. There are books that I hated, but made good movies. It goes both ways.

I'm not really sure what to think. Some of the casting sounds decent, but with others... (like the guy who plays Gale!) And I've read that Suzanne Collins is working closely with the movie people, so it probably won't be to off... Or so I hope.
