When the Uglies movie is made what kind of music do you think will
be on the soundtrack??? House, trance, dance, pop, alternative???

Also, what would be on Tally & Shay's iPod???

Alternative all the way!!!  Although there are a few rock and pop songs that go well.  I like Paramore and Muse songs the best for the series.

Sounds good, any songs in particular you'd like to see on the album???
How about themes for the characters.

What would you see playing in such scenes as: New Pretty Town parties, Tally's room, Shay & Tally glove scene.

I could imagine some annoying pop music for Pretty Town (lady Gaga/katy perry) but I think alternative for the smoke. The ideal would be epic classical music for the journey to the smoke (I always imagined that as a sequence with music over the top rather than a scene by scene thing) The music for the party should be futuristic.  ;)

I totally agree with you dark, it'll probably end up with all kinds of pop, but some score and alt would definitely make up for it.

For Prettytown, most stuff composed by Towa Tei. That's what I'd play if I wanted to brainwash people. It's techno, futuristic, easy listening. Check his corroboration with Kylie Minogue "German Bold Italic". It fits well, doesn't it? For the Smoke, I'm thinking acoustic guitar and tribal drumming. Operatic goth rock and/or remixed classical fugues for when we get really deep into the Specials' world.

Shay's playlist:
Unpretty, by TLC
Big Yellow Taxi, by Joni Mitchell
World Falls Away, by Seether
Crawling, by Linkin Park
Opheliac by Emilie Autumn
Electric Kiss, by Stephanie Germanotta

Tally's playlist:
Noted Absence of Fairy Godmother, by Helen Trevillion
Fifteen by Taylor Swift
Quando me'n vo, aria from the opera La Boheme (the character of Musetta brags about what a hottie she is in song)
Antebellum, by Vienna Teng
Strange, by Kerli
Rise Above This, by Seether

For Aya: Hatsune Miku. BoA. Luna Sea. And maybe
Radio, by Vienna Teng.

I agree with lots of pop/futuristic/techno for New Pretty Town. Some pop, some alternative, maybe even some punk rock for Uglyville (depending on the scene). Alternative and maybe even folk or country for the Smoke.

And I was just listening to Runaway by Pink and it seemed like it belonged on Shay's playlist. Might fit for the scene when Tally runs away, but it seemed to be more Shay's emotions than Tally's.

Citadel by Anna Nalick fits for when Shay is going to runaway with her friends and chickens out, if the movie is like the manga and shows Shay's view point.

Bullet By Steel Train kind of reminds me of Zane when he's with Tally in the city.

Yeah, I'm just going through all the songs I recently listened to in my head and trying to see where they'd fit in the story. :P
