DOUBLE POSTING
« on: August 29, 2011, 12:30:56 PM »

Hey everyone - I've had some complaints, and I'd like to refresh your memories.
If you didn't know, double posting is frowned upon in the forum rules. I know sometimes you have something to say, but no one else has commented on the thread. Try editing your previous comment. We don't need a whole page of just you.
Everyone breaks this occasionaly. I have myself - that Midnighters Fanfic, for example. XD Although in my defense, posts can only have so many words. But try to avoid it, ok? This goes for smiley only comments as well - it's a pain to scroll through pages of smileys.

I don't want to sound like a downer, but like I said, people have said things, and I wanted to make it clear that this applies to everyone.

I'm thinking this was aimed at me... am I not right? I knew you'd post something somewhere else about it and I made sure to track it down.

No. Actually, I felt it was unfair to nag you about the rule and then have other people doing it, so I'm warning everyone.

Oops >_<

I didn't think it was that bad, like when bumping up a dead thread....what happens there?

Like you're the last one to post a week ago and the thread got buried so you post again to bump it up with some new information?

I never thought it was a problem, but I will try no to do it >_<

Bumping a dying thread is ok. It's the whole:

Hi.

:)

This is fun.

Etc, stuff that's over the top.

Yeah, that's a serious problem. I usually don't double post unless I'm on Newbie Buddies and make a change to the list and then I say something in a seperate post right after explaining the changes. I have done the one smiley posts but not as much recently.
