Book reviews.
« on: February 24, 2012, 02:08:15 PM »

All us library assistants at my school are making a website full of book reviews/summaries. I figured I should let you guys read (and edit, if it needs editing) mine before I put them out for the school to see. c:

Here's mine for Gone (by Michael Grant)-

What do you think would happen if one day, everyone over 15 suddenly disappears? Gone brings that thought to reality.

When all the adults disappear, chaos starts. Food is scarce. Injuries. Fires. Drugs. Alcohol. Death. Power. Sam, the town's past hero, steps up along with Astrid, to take control of the town. Together, they find a way to run the town.

But soon enough, odd things start happening. Kids develop dangerous powers and animals start mutating.

Sides are chosen: Bully or hero. Freak or normal.

Nothing is impossible here in the FAYZ (Fallout Adult Youth Zone). Anything can and will happen. Be prepared.

Gone, to me, is the best book ever written. The story line is genius. The characters are so relatable, so easy to get attached to. There is none of that "love triangle" either, which I personally really dislike in books. The beginning isn't slow like most books. The suspense picks up on the very first page. I sat down and finished the book within 3 hours. I couldn't put it down.  When you get to the end of Gone, you'll  be dying to get a glimpse at Hunger, the next book in the series.

I give it a 5 out of 4 stars. A must read dystopian book.

Eh, I guess but it doesn't take long to write them. It just takes long to type them on the computer and add pictures and what not.
