How DOES Alek even look... might have to flip through the books again, I can't tell Alek and Deryn apart... (No shitting)
[/quote]

Me either. You know that picture in Leviathan where Deryn takes off her glove to punch Alek? I couldn't tell who was who.
But what's coming along here seems to fit what I've heard. Additionally; Deryn is actually slightly more muscular than Alek is due to her rigging time, and she has a scar on her...left knee, I believe. Alek is less muscular, but he's got more scars. Additionally, he has a nasty bruise on his chest from being shot with an air pistol, discolored and strange-textured skin on his arms and hands from electrical shocks, and post-Leviathan I think some of his hair is gone.
This is what I've put together from all the stuff that happens to them in the books, anyway. Not a lot of it's mentioned, but I'm guessing based on what I know of human biology and its reaction to these stimulusses.
And, before you ask, yes, I am compiling a list of what they would look like naked.

Behold; the amount of work it takes to write a good smut fic.
I would think so, Tesla. It's you're fault Alek lost some of his hair...

Ahem. Nudity aside, this:

is what they look like.
Alek's portrait frame is the greatest portrait frame ever made.
Deryn's is cool too but it lacks the royal clanker flamboyance.

Keith often draws non-humans (really creepy non-humans) so a lot of the characters in Leviathan look kind of alien upon close inspection.

He drew some of the Aleins from Borderlands... or at least concept art...

I know. When I was playing through it with my friends, I kept blaming Keith for making them so hard to headshot. The plan was that they would ask who Keith Thompson was and I would get to mention Leviathan again.

XD I recommended Leviathan to a freind, who also plays borderlands, and he guessed that whoever did the illustrations for Leviathan drew for boarderlands too, without research.  ;)

Thomson did stuff for Borderlands? Awesome. And alien is a pretty good description.
