Straif:
Anyone heard of it? And no, I didn't miss-type Mortal Instruments. This is the series with moving cities that eat each other, scarred girls, airships, mutants, and long-lost superweapons.
Looking for some people to discuss it with, figured this was a good enough place as any.

On my "to read" list after Boneshaker...

It's published by scholastic... which makes me think aimed at younger kids... But i've learnt that many books are more than meets the eye.  :P

It's probably the earlier steampunk books published, although the book I was telling you about, Worldshaker, took 10 years to write, and it started in around 2000s...

I know Infernal Devices was published in the 1970s...

Straif:
Ha! I get that...oh, you and your Transformers...
But trust me, its not. Trust me, ITS NOT.
And it probably was. I found it back in 9th grade, by complete accident, actually. Swiped it off a cabinet in health class.
