Anyone not care for the ending of Serpents Shadow?
« on: May 29, 2012, 10:38:58 PM »

Yeah, I really thought the Walt Anubis Sadie thing was cheesy and I didn't like our little death god either, I felt like he was just put there to look hot. Anyway, I thought that Sadie should have lost them both, that would have made it more dramatic and meaningful.

Anyway, the way I see it, you can just never again smile and hope they don't get any deeper, or you can just keep smiling and then people won't notice those lines because they'll be looking at your pretty smile

Yeah huh. I thought Anubis might've been fun if there had been more character development, but Walt was just in there for the required love triangle. The ending was WAY too convenient and neat.

That whole love triangle felt fake, that's why I wanted Sadie to lose both of them. :P

Can I just say something about rick Roirdian's writing? I don't care that it ended like that.
his writing is...refreshing. It's nice to have a break from all this depressing crap out there.
it's nice to have books about suckie situations...with a funny twist. It's nice to have a laugh while reading once in a while.

Oh, I loved the books, they were a fun ride. I just didn't like the ending.

I really hated the whole Walt/Anubis thing. And every chapter that Sadie narrated she constantly talked about them, it was annoying. I did really love Carter and Zia's mall date, though.

I love Rick Riordan a lot. I have all his YA books except the little side ones he does for series, and i'm getting Mark of Athena pre-ordered. He's my favorite author (next to Helen Keleher, but y'all wouldn't know her....)

Yeahhh I wanna get the Kane Chronicles guide and the PJ Guide, and the Demigod Diaries when it's published. My friend wants me to read this book he had published of these essays people sent in about his books, but I really hate essays so I probably won't get it.
