What. Just. Why are these balls following you guys???

Friv. Confession: Mercutio might be my fav literature character, like, ever. He's honestly so my type. A guy who is a sarcastic prick for no reason and takes nothing in life seriously. Like pretty much all of my male characters and also me. <3

My school is putting on a production of Romeo and Juliet and I'm already frightened that whoever they cast as Mercutio will butcher his character.

(Romeo and Juliet spoilers...if that is necessary for anyone :P)

Honestly I love the secondary characters in Romeo and Juliet. In class, we never really talked about Mercutio (except when he died) or Benvolio and that is sad ::)

They're literally the only reason to read it tbh. I read it for fun and they made the whole play

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that.

I know!! Nothing funny or interesting happens without the secondary characters. I love Romeo and Juliet, and it's mostly because I love Tybalt, Mercutio, Benvolio and Nurse.

Yeah, the secondary characters are the best. My friend and I love shipping Mercutio and Romeo together and let's be honest, no one would've had to die if things worked out that way ::)

I think Romeo would be too emotional for Mercutio's taste.

I like Benvoilo and Mercutio as a pair. A balance  between wacky and level headed. :P

I think they'd balance out. Mercutio would stabilize Romeo's emotional whims :P

It's probably better off that Romeo and Juliet died, I feel like if they survived they would realize that they made a big mistake considering they were together less then a week and got married. :P

Still, Juliet would've been forced into an arranged marriage anyway, and Romeo would have ended up in just a hasty relationship with Rosaline.
