I always thought Gig was a generic term around the world, guess not though... *shouts at top of voice* IF THERE'S ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE!! DO YOU USE THE WORD GIG?? (and no that doesn't mean you Chloe-wa, I know you will =P)

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
i think it is one of the many UK things
i thoought a gig was when an unkniown band played

Hmmm, it might have originated from that :) lets UD it :) http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=gig just for the crack :)

my first gig was so embarassing, it can't even be called a gig, i was 5 and forced my mum and nan to take me and my sister to see Daniel O'Donnell because for some reason i loved him... my second gig wasn't much better, that was Westlife, who i also loved at the time  :-[

I would actually love to see Westlife live, as far as talent goes, the lead singer is UNREALL!!! And Green Day were, as you so rightly predicted, amazing ;) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sorry for double posting... Sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry =P

i have never been to a gig

In all honest you're not missing out on much =P unless you have a deep love of a specific band (or you want to meet new people) a Gig really isn't worth the money imo... not when some tickets are £50 (thats $75 at the current exchange?)

i remember my friends and i using urban dictionary to define "Emo" hehe
westlife, lol, i was quite young and it was another family outing
i'm still devestated that i should have been at what would probably have been the best gig of my life in january, Michael Jackson, but that didnt happen (for obvious reasons)   :'(

i love going to gigs, but its always disappointing when the standing tickets are sold out and you have to go to the seating area where the atmosphere isnt as good

Shame... dance, trance, house, psychedelic are my favs =p listen to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5JWDlj8ulY it's none of the forementioned genres (it's actually chip tunes) but it was possibly the best music i've ever heard live (played on a gameboy as the guy dances around stage pressing buttons) ;)
