Hey, sorry for no posting. (Just. Finished. BOOK.) We’ve been having a great time in Texas.

All the folks at TLA were so amazing and welcoming, and as I’m a native Texian, there were some cool surprises. One of the librarians from my past brought my ancient 8th Grade yearbook. Two things about that:

1) Go Warriors ’77!
2) Picture of me = ouch.

Also, my own high school librarian showed up! She’s still at good old Booker T., and we had lunch and talked about old times.

  1. Oh my god, my friend wants to go to Booker T. And she was planning on dragging me along! If I hadn’t moved, she might have actually succeeded; but now that I live in Grand Prairie, I can go to Dallas schools. Grr. So mean. Just think, we might have actually roamed the same walls as Scott Westerfeld!

  3. Peeps is first. They’re both set in the vampire-apocalypse thing. Companion novels, I guess.

  5. Jessie – Florida CANT possibly be cold..EVER!i’ve been there a few, my cousin of course lives there…so yeah.

  6. Shan- oh my gosh i went there over thanksgiving break and it was freezing!!! I was on the datona beach, on the sand even and I had on 2 jackets one being a fluffy camo jacket!

    it was windy and like 40 degrees!!

    oh and if you think january sucks try having it the day after CHRISTMAS!!! no one can ever come to partys because they are with their families and you get all your presents for the year in 2 days..you get NO presents during the summer or ANYTHING! so be thankful

  7. Yeah I’d have 2 say having a bday near christmas is pretty bad! I feel sorry 4 u!!! And by the way it’s true Florida IS cold during the winter… and actually it’s been pretty cold lately…. not sure why but I’m ready for it 2 be warm cause I love warm summer weather!

  10. i read the risen empire and the killing of worlds. theyre really good, but a bit boring at times. cool space battles, but i never understood the physics of it…

  13. i go to florida like 2 a year… and no its not that cold but it can be… 🙂 i never have to were anything more then a light jacket… but thats just me lol.

    wow thats a really big age difference cuz theirs some people that are like 11 and then some that are 25!!! lol but hey ur lucky cuz 1. u can go to collage, and 2. u can drink and go to all the partys u want!!! yey for partys!! lol 🙂 and i never new that so many guys read these kinds of books… Jessy A. and yes thats his name lol was asking me and said that uglies sounds like a chick book!!! lol but hey i dont care he isnt really the reading type!! but iv never really meet a cute guy that was :)!!! hehe

    Scott I just want to say thank you for doing this site because well you don’t have and I probaly couldn’t do it if I were as busy as you and most authors don’t bother doing things like this for their redears..oh and thanks for putting up with our demandingness haha It means alot to me and without this I would be VERY bored..

  26. wow thats weird that the date is like that… and is any one born on or near march 27?? lol

    every one at my school is like happy 4/20!! (its national weed day) and i was like okay then weirdos!! lol 🙂 but they keep saing it and someone wrote it on the bord in heathl class and the teacher was like i now what that means guys.. so they erased it lol 😛

  28. ??? national weed day??? thats wierd. I’m so glad that scott finished extras. now i have to wait till it’s published. Scott you should post the first chapter. OK, get this..i start the first Midnighters book at my dad’s, then i finished it on the EXACT day i started, and i was already AT my dads! and i didnt have the second book! i was going insane the whole weekend! but now i’m back at my mom’s and i get to read it!! and i swear, i was seriously thinking about bringing the second one!
