Befriend Bubbly

So I’ve never had a MySpace page, but as of today the Uglies series does!

It’s called Feeling Bubbly, and you should all go be its friends. It’s lonely. Plus, Feeling Bubbly has lots of screensavers, avatars, and other assorted Uglies imagery.

In other news: Thanks to everyone who came to Fairfield Public Library today to see me! It was a really enthusiastic group with many flash tattoos, and one girl who’d written lots of nice things about me on her skin with many colors of Sharpie.

Sharpies are fun.

Also, don’t forget the all-Aussie festival this Saturday. Me with Justine, Margo Lanagan, Jonathan Strahan, and Garth Nix!

    I wish I could be an Uglies friend on Myspace, but I deleted mine a couple years ago. It’s so annoying having to check it and then click to every single person’s site so you can reply to them… uggh!!!

    okay? sharpies are not only fun, as indicated above, but they are awesome! fawesome even! and they don’t smell THAT bad.
    also, they’re certified non-toxic. you can’t die from inhaling them. and you also can’t get high off them. i know someone who tried.

    and the wittle bitty sharpie minis that you can put on a keychain….and silver sharpies! i love silver sharpies! all the covers of my notebooks are covered in silver sharpies.

  18. Yay to sharpies! but i would haved just used the stuff to make fake tatoos. That would be better to get off. but anyways, me and a friend are supposed to be reputation bombers for halloween. (the costumes very easy) its gonna be sweet. But i think weve changed that to becoming cutters. But as always: come to SC!

    well Garth Nix is kool .. i have one of his books but i cant read it cuz i havn’t read the first two … my dad needs to know how to buy gifts … dont get # 3 before # 1 and 2 lol …

  26. I shan’t give any opinion on the Sharpie matter, except that Olive Green sharpies may actually be the best. markers. ever. as you say that they are. Though I always write on my skin with sharpie, and I’m still alive! At least, I am as I write this post…Who knows about after that? I mean, staph…
    What a happy making myspace page! I wish I had the technology knowledge that the maker did!
    Speaking of shirts, it’s almost november. The contest was in, like, july. My shirt isn’t here yet. I think that I may be alone in this. Oh, well. THe mystery of the missing shirt lives on! 🙂

  27. ohh my i lovee the smell of sharpies. i could sit in class all day and sniff them if my friend didnt start yelling at me that i was gonna get high. I absolutely say the silvers are the awesomest out there. but those mini ones are pretty darn cool too. I might go as a Rusty for halloween..fairly easy, no?
    man no myspace..i dont like that sort of stuff. sorry feeling bubbly, i’ll just be your *imaginary* friend.

    That Sharpies girl was freaking hilarious, I love how at the beginning when you first walked in she was like, “I love you, Scott! I love you!!” 😆 Actually, it’s weird, cuz I was thinking of doing that but decided against it. And I’m not even being sarcastic; I’m serious.

    Also, I thought that yesterday’s entry was today’s, cuz I just realized now that the blog’s set in Aussie time. So I’m going to copy & paste my comment from there to here in case you didn’t see it, cuz I’d like you to. Ain’t the right-click button grand??

    Anyway, here it is:

    Hey Scott! It’s Olivia from the Fairfield reading today. I’m the one who asked how you got your 1st book published. You know how you said I might be too young to be looking for a literary agent? Well, I’m actually trying to get my 1st novel published. I’m sending my novel to an interested agent tomorrow. I meant to say that when you signed my book, but I forgot. Anyway, it was great seeing you and you were really awesome in person.

  31. I like sharpies and i think they smell good! On the other side, they bleed, alot. Ok, but, that is an awesome MySpace, i dont have a MySpace, Im not allowed to and honestly i dont want to, i dont want to be addicted to another website. O and i love the secong midnighters so much better, it is so good, i am sure im gonna finish it this weekend!

  38. Book signings = 45 minutes of standing in a line doing nothing with lots of anticipation and boredom (not that I’ve actually ever been to one with an author i’d actually heard of before the signing)

    Sharpies = 30 minutes of fun.

    Uglies = countless hours of sitting around reading in the last weekend before school ends, forgetting about all the exams I have (I read them in May).

    Midnighters = countless hours sitting around reading with tons of anticipation and nervous-making moments. Not to mention all the frustrating interruptions. (I just finished BLUE NOON at school today – the ending made me cry 😛 I felt like such a dork)

    So Yesterday = A great few hours where being sick is forgotten as i am pulled into the story.

    Myspace = lots of lag, ads, and predators looking for victims. Which is why, never in a million years, will i create a Myspace.

    sorry for this brain-missingly long post. I’ll try to trim it down at little next time. But it’s better than posting 3 in row like I usually do, right?

  43. My school doesn’t have any good books:!: But Scott you should come to Southern California. Although maybe not right now cuz we have like 27 fires and only about 13 are under control. Not over where I live though.

  45. dude!!! i got two of those trojans too!!! that’s never happened before. and to continue the conversation at which i stopped reading, i love sharpies!!!! i have like, 8 of the minis!! the silvers are totally kick too!!! and i would love to befriend bubbly, but sadly i can’t. no myspace. i wish there was a book thing near my house. but no one EVER comes to michigan. seriously. oh, i’m going as a special for halloween!!! i got this fat eyeliner thing to draw the tattoos with, and the other side has glow in the dark stuff!!!! it’s gonna be so awesome at my school’s costume dance!!!!! fyi, i’m bored so i’m writing alot. anyway, time to print off a giant blown up pic of the specials cover so i can practice 4 halloween!!! bye peoples!!
