THE STRAIN YES. My dad made me read it when I was younger because I needed some "real books" to read...
I threw up. And then I loved it.

I wish they would release a decent trailer for the show. Not just the teaser. I want to see what the "strigoi" look like in action >:c

I hate it when we get a good book series and the director doesn't do crap to do it justice...

Not kidding
And yeah, I just double-checked and he's one of the directors for the show. And I'm pretty sure he designed what the vamps and Master and everything are going to look like. So yeah. I'm pumped.
First episode is due June 1st.

more people need to read American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Its like Percy Jackson if Percy Jackson was targeted to adults and incorporated multiple mythologies.

My friend said it was good but didn't recommend it because her mom only let her read it on the condition that she wouldn't go around suggesting that other people read such 'adult' books. Now I want to read it but I can't ;-;

yeah, Cat you might want to wait a few years before you read that, it has a lot of good themes on society and culture but Gaiman's books  are known for being dark and his adult books\ short stories aren't just dark but very explicit.

his first book for children was Coraline. and everyone knows how creepy that movie is. I haven't read the book but I read review on it that I think it was by booklist and it was described as Alice in Wonderland on acid.

True, it's probably too explicit for my taste. Still, it caught my interest.

That movie is probably scarier than actual horror movies O.o The fact that it was made for kids and was so innocent in some aspects just made it even creepier...
