September 29th, 2010 07:56
No Wisconsin is right! You’re going to Naperville AGAIN?! You were just there earlier this year! Who organizes your schedules?? I want a word with them!
On a serious note (though that was semi-serious), what the hell is in Pennsylvania that you’re THERE three times?
Gotta drop a Texas trip and go to good ol’ Wisconsin. Wisconsin: We care.
September 29th, 2010 18:06
Scott, I’ve already told Natalie that she’ll get to see you for her birthday. And her school librarian wanted to come down to Birmingham, too! And I would tell all my writer friends in Birmingham to show up, too! Please don’t diss Alabama! I’m begging you!

September 30th, 2010 04:41
Random facts of the day:
Jimmy Carter was the first president born in a hospital.
There are more fatal car accidents in July than in any other month.
You are more likely to get attacked by a cow, than a shark.
September 30th, 2010 04:51
Blisters, haha! Wish you would come to California at one point, (preferably the Bay Area*cough*) but I know you have a busy schedule. Maybe I’ll catch you for the Goliath tour, eh?
September 30th, 2010 05:25
Ahhh…. you’re going to be in NOLA…. so close to me!! But I can’t get there in 30 minutes…. I teach until 3:30 then have duties….. and I am a longterm sub, so I can’t get a sub for a sub….. Awww…. I’m a bit bummed by this, seeing as you will be so close…. Alas. I am glad you get to come to our neck of the woods anyway! Enjoy your time down here! (=
September 30th, 2010 05:28
What happened to Chicago? I have to take a TRAIN to get to Naperville, and the Metra isn’t covered by my UPass, so I probably won’t be able to go since I can’t drive.
Next time, go to Barbara’s Books!
Nice little indie bookstore (not hipster, independent lol).
September 30th, 2010 06:25
YES!!! THANK YOU!!! And I thought everything in my life has started sucking…
September 30th, 2010 06:27
Basically, you coming makes it suck less. Word things I sometimes can’t.
OH YEAH BHAM’S BACK BABY!
September 30th, 2010 08:13
I am SO excited to see you’re coming somewhere relatively close to me. I hope I can make it this Tuesday to Exton.
I have a a question that I hope you or someone who’s been to one of these tours can answer for me. What goes on at these tours? I’ve never been to one but I hope I can this time. Do you generally just talk about your books? Do you do autographs? Can we buy things?
September 30th, 2010 09:19
Please come to San Francisco, CA! You have tons of fans here!
September 30th, 2010 10:25
@Susan I’ve never been to one of Scott-la’s tours stops (grr!) but I’ve been to a few others. Usually the author talks a bit about his or her newest book (the one the tour is for), sometimes they do a reading from it, and they answer questions from the audience. Then they sign stuff- sometimes specifically books, sometimes anything- depends on them.
This is a basic book signing, but sometimes authors will do other things, too- like John Green and David Levithan did a reader’s theatre, etc.
Hope this helps- and I hope you enjoy meeting Scott-la! I’m so jealous!!!
September 30th, 2010 17:22
Happy Dance!!!
October 1st, 2010 00:58
Yay, thank you Kailey-wa. So my friend and I might be coming and this will honestly make my life.
October 1st, 2010 06:46
Georgia!!! Awesome!
October 1st, 2010 21:45
Just to second Maddy’s request, SF would love to see you on this tour. Borderlands would be a great fit.
October 1st, 2010 23:34
Aw, no California. I’m in Sacramento, but I’m willing to second (third, forth?) the plea for San Francisco!
In any case, I’m super-excited for Behemoth. Good luck on your tours!
October 2nd, 2010 00:32
Woah, Cincinnati?!?!? I’m SO going down there!!!! You HAVE to come to the Great Lakes area some day! I’d be SO stoked to see you!! Behemoth is gonna be beast (No pun intended.) Good luck!
October 2nd, 2010 05:01
I’m so excited that you’re coming to Provo. It’s awesome because we almost never get any non-local authors visiting here, let alone YA authors. It’s a little sad though because the libraries here finally decided to be awesome by doing special events for teens when I’m no longer a teen. I really would have loved something like this 5 years ago when I was 16.
Anyway, I’m still going since adults can come as well. I hear teens get priority seating though so I might have to bring a friend who’s 19 along so I can say I was their ride and snag a good seat myself. Muahaha.
October 2nd, 2010 20:10
Just so you know Quail Ridge is an amazing bookstore. My mom used to take me there on my birthday. I love that place and have so many great memories there. I sorta wish I could be there but oh well I’m sure that Carnegie Library is great too!!!
October 4th, 2010 03:22
@Smizily-
I’m in Sacramento too, I just figured we would have a better chance with San Francisco!
October 5th, 2010 08:26
If this works, I am the first person (maybe) to make up a fake website and email. WHERE IS WASHINGTON ON THAT LIST? Oh well, maybe when Goliath comes out.
October 5th, 2010 08:28
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! IT WORKED!!!
November 22nd, 2010 00:18
This made me smile and hopefully after your last post it will do the same for you:
Multitasking means screwing up several things at once.
